Charlotte Adig茅ry & Bolis Pupul Ring in the Holidays with New Christmas Song "Hoho"
Charlotte Adig茅ry and Bolis Pupul are spreading festive cheer with their latest release, a Christmas-themed rendition titled "Hoho." The track is a playful spin on their Topical Dancer song "Haha," transformed into a Santa-inspired celebration. The duo, known for their creative musical collaborations, infuses the holiday spirit with the addition of bells and modified lyrics, playfully encouraging listeners to be on Santa's nice list with the refrain, "Guess you had to be good."
In a statement, Adig茅ry and Pupul shared the origin of "Hoho":
"Hahahallelujah, we made a Christmas song! From 'HAHA' to 'HOHO'... What started off as a joke by Ollie (from Asa Moto) at Deewee, became a reality a day later. We reworked 'HAHA' and added new depths to it (such as bells) so you can blast it during your cozy Christmas dinners. Your grandmother will love it. We just saw great commercial opportunity in this brilliant idea. The goal is to finally throw Mariah Carey off her throne and to annoy generations to come!"
Having previously collaborated on the Zandoli EP in 2019, Pupul and Adig茅ry continued their creative journey with the release of their full-length debut, Topical Dancer, in March 2022. Pupul is set to embark on his solo venture with the upcoming release of his first solo album, Letter to Yu, scheduled for March 8. The anticipation for "Hoho" adds a festive touch to the artists' repertoire, providing a lighthearted soundtrack for holiday gatherings.
