La historia que contaré a continuación aparte de reflexiva muestra la fortaleza y grandeza de nuestra querida compañera Ysa (así la llamamos), ella pertenece Junto a su esposo Alejandro al team corozomtb de Valencia-Venezuela, en varias oportunidades hemos compartido rutas de montaña con ellos.
The story that I will tell below apart from reflective shows the strength and greatness of our dear companion Ysa (so we call her), she belongs with her husband Alejandro to the corozomtb team of Valencia-Venezuela, on several occasions we have shared mountain routes with them.
El 26 de Diciembre del 2023, regresando a casa ya anocheciendo un vehículo la impactó de costado provocando una caída aparatosa que la dejó 4 días en coma, llevó un fuerte impacto en la cabeza que produjo una inflamación considerable que ha ido cediendo con el pasar de los días, pero aún sigue afectando el ojo izquierdo. Esta noticia nos afecto bastante porque ella se ha ganado el
cariño, estima y afecto de todos sus compañeros. Este evento nos muestra el riesgo que corremos al montar una bicicleta o practicar cualquier deporte.
On December 26, 2023, returning home at nightfall, a vehicle hit her from the side causing a spectacular fall that left her in a coma for 4 days, she had a strong impact on her head that produced a considerable inflammation that has been subsiding with the passing of the days, but it still affects her left eye. This news affected us a lot because she has earned the love, esteem and affection of all of us.

En vista de la notable mejoría de Ysa, su esposo Alejandro convocó a los equipos amigos para realizar un paseo a Placivel desde pie de Cerro vía la Colonia Tovar por la Victoria en el estado Aragua, son 7 kilómetros de fuerte subida (los vehículos suben en su máxima potencia), es una de las rutas con mayor inclinación que no da descanso desde que inicia, algunos tramos son más complejos que otros, pero el paisaje y el motivo fue el aliciente.
In view of Ysa's remarkable improvement, her husband Alejandro summoned the friendly teams for a ride to Placivel from pie de Cerro via Colonia Tovar through La Victoria in Aragua state, 7 kilometers of steep climb (vehicles climb at maximum power), is one of the steepest routes that does not give rest since it starts, some sections are more complex than others, but the landscape and the reason was the incentive.
El Punto de encuentro fue en casa de nuestra amiga Marla en pie de Cerro, Ysa se quedó junto a ella y su familia preparando una exquisita sopa (sancocho), mientras el grupo subía la empinada carretera hasta llegar a Placivel, este sitio es famoso porque allí los amantes de la adrenalina se lanzan en parapente. A pesar de la exigencia de la vía, alto tráfico de vehículo y motos, alcanzamos la meta, el clima estuvo a nuestro favor con brisa fresca.
The meeting point was at our friend Marla's house at the foot of Cerro, Ysa stayed with her and her family preparing a delicious soup (sancocho), while the group climbed the steep road to reach Placivel, this site is famous because there adrenaline lovers are launched in paragliding. Despite the demanding road, high traffic of vehicles and motorcycles, we reached the goal, the weather was in our favor with a cool breeze.
Pasado un buen rato emprendimos el descenso, es indescriptible la sensación al bajar, los sentido se agudizan para aplicar las técnicas adecuadas de frenado. Es importante la cautela ante los factores externos e impredecibles; nos encontramos con una camioneta accidentada que derramo aceite, esto es atemorizante para cualquier ciclista, también un pelotón de motorizados que abarcaron casi toda la carretera. After a while we started the descent, it is indescribable the feeling when descending, the senses are sharpened to apply the proper braking techniques. It is important to be cautious in the face of external and unpredictable factors; we encountered a truck accident that spilled oil, this is frightening for any cyclist, also a bunch of motorized vehicles that covered almost the entire road. La comida no se hizo esperar, entre música, chistes, historias pasamos el rato compartiendo con Ysa...por ahora, esta enfocada en la recuperación, su Fe es inmensa y segura estoy que esta adversidad quedara en el pasado como un gran aprendizaje.
The meal was not long in coming, between music, jokes and stories we spent the time sharing with Ysa...for now, she is focused on recovery, her faith is immense and I am sure that this adversity will remain in the past as a great learning experience.
