My paternal family were country people, and although I don't know much about them, I have some memories.
Above all, from when I was a very young girl, and I would go to visit that part of the family.
The clearest memories I have are of my grandfather and a great-uncle.
Being in the vegetable garden with the vegetables, when I was 5 years old, it even seemed like the tomatoes were bigger than me. My grandfather used to take me to the dairy, to see how the cows were milked.
I remember the sheep, the immensity of the countryside, the water from those huge taps that were used to irrigate the plantations.
Visiting this museum of the Arts and Customs of the city of Malaga, and especially the section on the fields and stables, took me back to the smells of my childhood.
The countryside has a particular smell and in this place, even though these objects have been there for so long, they still retain that aroma.
Many objects related to life in the country, the animals, the horses. I love horses.
The texture of the leather, the wicker, the wood.
These photographs I have taken only belong to a very specific part of the large exhibition offered by the museum.
I tried to take close-up details of items from the stable, the place where the farm animals were kept, especially those used for loading and transport. There are also objects of the artisan life that was carried out in that place and at that time.
Entering this space made me remember some of my childhood experiences and above all remember those two people who for me are symbols of the countryside.
The simplicity, but sacrificed life that people lead in the countryside. I value the work they do very much, without them there would be no food for the world.
Their work is often undervalued, yet they fill the shops with fruit, vegetables, meat, cereals and the flour used to make bread.
The farm animals, so useful and noble in their task of helping humans in their work.
All this made me think of this beautiful space inside a museum that is worth seeing and admiring.
A journey back in time to the richness of the land and the goodness of the animals. The wonder of nature.
I hope you can travel back in time with me and have enjoyed these photographs that I was delighted to take.
Best regards to all of you and see you next time.
Amonet.
