Adolescence glowed in my being
like a firefly in the dark night.
Your amber gaze, clear as the dawn,
shone the truth of my pure soul.
In my body danced what I did not understand,
like a frightened chrysalis in search of its flight.
Freedom in my latent, light that followed,
exploring a new and longed-for world.
Like the moon that slowly dawns,
awakening the world with its splendour.
Discovering life, innocent and brave,
I searched for my wings with fervour.
