Let me share with you all what does it mean to be a Macro Photographer.
Why do we call it MACRO photography and not MICRO photography.
Macro means large and Micro means small. So we call it Macro photography because it creates a large image of smaller subjects.
(Lynx Spider)
I am in love with spiders and during the lockdown last year I had few 8 legged visitors in my balcony. Well some of you might squash and kill them but not me. These little arachnids are very helpful for the ecosystem as they eat little pests and are not harmful for us. So they were my photography subjects and I clicked many shots of them.

After the lockdown was eased up and some biodiversity parks were open, I started going on the nature trails and some of my friends tagged along with me on such trails. They were always surprised how I can see such little things so quickly.
So, here's a quick tip Let's say you are walking among short bushy shrubs, what you can do is look for colours which are not matching it's background and the moment you find such thing scan it closer and you might see an insect or a spider sitting there.

After identifying what to click few things you should keep in mind:
(Orb weaver spider)
Many of you might think that we need specialised gear to shoot macros. To them I'll say NO... you can start macro photography by using the camera of your mobile device, or you may buy very economical macro lens contraption for your mobile device.

Other than the image of a Robber Fly, all of my shots are taken with canon 90D+100mm f/2.8 along with a Raynox DCR 250
