[ENG/ESP] Headbands with mouse ears./Diademas con orejas de ratón.

At the time I volunteered, I had an idea of how to make them and I immediately thought of crochet, but then I realized that I didn't have much time so I opted for the most noble and versatile material you can find: fomy. Although I don't know how to work much with it and I recognize that it is not one of my favorite materials, I must also admit that I have seen beautiful things made with fomy, but I personally am not very good at working with it.

En el momento que me ofrecí, tenía una idea de cómo hacerlas y de inmediato pensé en crochet, pero después caí en cuenta en que no disponía de demasiado tiempo entonces opte por el material más noble y versátil que se pueda encontrar: el fomy. Aunque no se trabajar mucho con el y reconozco que no es de mi materiales favoritos, también debo admitir que he visto bellezas hechas con fomy, pero a mí personalmente no se me da mucho trabajar con él.

I wanted to include other elements to give beauty to the headbands and I opted for crochet. A bow with lace and tulle and some crochet flowers would give my headbands the touch of beauty that I wanted so much. I tell you that I didn't do anything to my son's ears because it wasn't necessary.

Deseaba incluir otros elementos para dar belleza a las diademas y opte, ahora sí, por el crochet. Un moño con encajes y tul y algunas flores en crochet le darían a mis diademas el toque de belleza que tanto deseaba. Les comento que a las orejas para mi hijo no les hice nada en lo absoluto pues no era necesario.

Let's see how to make these headbands and the method can be used for other types of animals such as rabbits, cats and even a unicorn, which would look fantastic.

Veamos cómo elaborar estas diademas y el método se puede utilizar para otros tipos de animales como conejos, gatos y hasta un unicornio, que por cierto quedaría fantástico.

Cut the three pairs of ears using a plastic lid as a guide. Next I lined the headbands with a black satin ribbon. First I finished off the ends of the headband with a two centimeter piece of ribbon and with silicone I glued both the inside and the outside of the headband. Then add glue to the inner part of the headband and line it with the ribbon, turning it in a spiral shape, but diagonally so that it is even and without excess ribbon.

Corte los tres pares de orejas tomando como guía una tapa plástica. Lo siguiente fue forrar las diademas con una cinta de raso negra. Primero se rematan las puntas de la diadema con un trozo de cinta de dos centímetros y con silicón se pega tanto de la parte interna como de la externa. Luego se agrega pegamento en la parte interna de la diadema y se va forrando con la cinta dando giros en forma de espiral, pero en diagonal para que quede pareja y sin exceso de cinta.

Now it is time to glue the ears and measure from the center outwards so that the ears are well positioned. We glue and cut the excess of fomy that remains between the circumference of the ear and the headband, this way it is perfect.

Ahora es el momento de pegar las orejas y medimos del centro hacia afuera para que las orejas queden bien posicionadas. Pegamos y cortamos el excedente de fomy que queda entre la circunferencia de la oreja y la diadema, de esta manera queda perfecto.

Once the rectangular parts of the bow are cut, we gather at one of the ends and thus we have the two parts of the bow. We do the same with the tulle and the lace. We glue them between the two ears and leave spaces to place the crochet flowers.

Una vez cortadas las partes del moño que son rectangulares, fruncimos en uno de los extremos y así tenemos las dos partes del moño. Hacemos lo mismo tanto con el tul como con el encaje. Los pegamos entre las dos orejas y dejamos espacios para colocar las flores de crochet.

I had some red flowers left over from another project and since nothing is lost in this, I incorporated them into one of the headbands. But for the pink bow headband, another color was needed, so I quickly made some puff stitch flowers in pink and some in pastel yellow. I sewed some small heart-shaped beads also in pastel colors. I placed all the decorative elements and finished the beautiful headbands.

Tenía algunas flores rojas que me sobraron de otro proyecto y como en esto nada se pierde, las incorporé a una de las diademas. Pero para la diadema de moño rosa, convenía otro color así que rápidamente realicé algunas flores con punto de puff en color rosa y otras en color amarillo pastel. Cosí unas pequeñas cuentas en forma de corazón también en colores pasteles. Coloqué todos los elementos de decoración y dí por terminada las hermosas diademas.
