Crocheting is an open world of possibilities. The things you can make are endless and that's why I consider learning to crochet has been a blessing for my life and an inexhaustible resource.

Tejer con ganchillo es un mundo abierto de posibilidades. Las cosas que se pueden hacer son infinitas y es por eso que considero que aprender a tejer ha sido una bendición para mi vida y un recurso inagotable.

One of the stitches on my Bouquet List is to make a fully crocheted bag, I have not been able to start this challenge because I have to buy enough material at once so that it does not happen to me as it did with my openwork blouse that I did not buy everything I needed and so far I'm still waiting for a skein of red yarn to finish my blouse. The truth is that I still had an almost complete skein of light blue macramé and I started to make a small bag for Rafaella with a teddy bear motif.

En uno de los puntos por hacer de mi Bouquet List está el de hacer un bolso totalmente a crochet, no he podido empezar en este reto porque debo comprar material suficiente de una vez para que no me pase como me pasó con mi blusa calada que no compre todo lo que necesitaba y hasta ahora sigo esperando que haya en existencia una madeja de hilo rojo para terminar mi blusa. Lo cierto es que todavía me quedaba una madeja casi completa de macramé celeste y me puse en marcha a elaborar un pequeño bolso para Rafaella con motivo de osito.

This bag consists of single crochet stitches. Something basic in crochet. The only complexity it has is to make the increases in the corners since it has an oval shape at the base and it is not that it is complicated but it is necessary to be very attentive to count the increases, which is also a principle when it comes to knitting. Now I will share with you the details of the process:

Este bolso consta de puntos bajos. Algo básico en el crochet. La única complejidad que tiene es hacer los aumentos en las esquinas ya que tiene forma ovalada en la base y tampoco es que sea complicado sino que es necesario estar bien atento para contar los aumentos, lo que también es un principio cuando de tejer se trata. Ahora les comparto los detalles del proceso:

We start with 8 chain stitches plus 1 additional stitch that represents our first single crochet. From there, we knit the low stitches along the base chain all the way around.

Empezamos con 8 puntos cadena más 1 punto adicional que representa nuestro primer punto bajo. A partir de allí hacemos puntos bajos a lo largo de la cadena base en todo su contorno.

At the beginning of the second row we knit 1 increase and from there on we knit 6 single crochets and knit 1 increase in the next 5 stitches, and from there 6 single crochets. To finish the row we knit 4 increases in the last three stitches and thus complete the 5 increases corresponding to this row.

Al empezar la segunda vuelta tejemos 1 aumento y de allí en adelante tejemos 6 puntos bajos y tejemos 1 aumento en los siguientes 5 puntos, y de allí 6 puntos bajos. Para terminar la vuelta tejemos 4 aumentos en los tres últimos puntos y así completamos los 5 aumentos correspondientes de esta vuelta.

In the third row we start with 1 increase and 8 single crochets and then 1 increase separated by 1 single crochet to complete 5 increases. We knit 8 single crochet and 4 increases separated by 1 single crochet. In this way we complete the 5 increases of the row. In the last row we knit single crochet and so on until our fabric begins to rise and take the shape of a bag.

En la tercera vuelta comenzamos con 1 aumento y 8 puntos bajos y luego de ello 1 aumento separado por 1 punto bajo hasta completar 5 aumentos. Tejemos 8 puntos bajos y 4 aumentos separados por 1 punto bajo. De esta manera completamos los 5 aumentos de la vuelta. En la última vuelta tejemos puntos bajos y así continuamos hasta que nuestro tejido empieza a subir y a tomar la forma de bolsa.

To make the bear figure I used brown yarn and knitted a small circle. Then ears and other details to make it more colorful and beautiful. I used the eyes which are like little screws to attach the figure to the top of the bag.

Al llegar a la altura deseada tejemos solo la mitad de la vuelta y giramos el tejido para así dar forma a la tapa del bolso. Tejemos el cordón son solo tres puntos bajos girando una y otra vez hasta el largo deseado.

Para hacer la figura de osita utilicé lana marrón y tejí un pequeño círculo. Luego orejas y otros detalles para hacerla más colorida y hermosa. Utilicé los ojos que son como pequeños tornillos para fijar la figura a la tapa del bolso.

The finished work is one of Rafaella's favorites. She was already anxious for it to be finished and as soon as it was ready she asked me if her little stuffed Peppa Pig would fit, lucky for me it fit perfectly. El trabajo terminado es uno de los preferidos de Rafaella. Ella ya estaba ansiosa de que lo terminará y apenas estuvo lista me preguntó si cabía su pequeña Peppa Pig de peluche, para mí suerte entró a la perfección.
