I really enjoyed trying to get the feather textures on this fantastic creature.
We begin with a sketch. I was fairly detailed since I wanted to really focus on the inking.
Now to Inking!
andhill Cranes have red on their face and so I left that part blank planning to do it with a red pen later.
Doing feathers is fun. Some didn't turn out as nice as I'd like but others I'm really happy with.
I finished up the wings, added the grass it is dancing in.
The last stage is to erase the pencil and add the red.
