Don't go scanning the QR and ruining what I'm trying to do here. I had just noticed something strange and I'd like to tell you about it but I will need to tell you a little bit about Spanish first.

Toca means touch. Tetas means boobs, to put it lightly. "Tocate" serves as a way to say your (own) boobs. I saw the sign and thought to myself - I hope I didn't say anything aloud - "Hey, not fair. Where's the sign for men saying, "touch your balls?"

So where did I see this sign? Well I saw it the other day when I was coming out of the subway trying to get back up to the street. I did a double take and saw it on the side of the wall in the subway with other ads. They call ads "propaganda" here and rightly so.

I didn't have my camera with me, my phone I mean, the other day. So I just went home and didn't think about it any more. There was still a chip on my shoulder because the men don't have a sign like that yet.

What you see in the next photo is the busiest station the subway system has to offer. But today, I was waiting for some friends to come and I went down the stairs to meet them right where they were becoming out of the turnstiles. This subway line is the newest and deepest line in the whole system, so it's a lot of stairs.

As I look past the turn style that I can't get through unless I pay, I saw a DEA sign. Don't get me wrong here. This is just some of the weird stuff that goes through my mind as I am walking around the city thinking in English.

First of all, the acronym would not be DEA if it was the Drug Enforcement Agency. But then again, if they try to take you down for having drugs on you, it would certainly break your heart.

Then I saw the camera and made sure that was in the shot. Spoiler alert, if you are going to scan the QR code and you don't read Spanish, this is a propaganda for women to check themselves for cancer. My friend's new girlfriend explained that to me. Awkward.

Today was her first time in a subway station because she lives in the suburbs. And it was my first time assuming that someone would pay to have signs put up so that girls would meme posing while grabbing a handful.

The last time this country ran a campaign for this same subject, there were signs of a topless woman actually checking on every bus stop and billboard. The also had the C word prominently featured in the verbage.

We all went out for an American breakfast. Another first for her. Then walked till our feet hurt hitting the shops here in the city.

I am just a geek who spent half his life in the other land down under.
