I used to go to Christian church and pray.
My first request was escaping the situation.
My second prayer was about finding a partner or significant other.
I also prayed to my dead great grandmother and dead pet dog (Max, a golden retriever). It was more of a frustration vent then anything else really but I hoped they were together and happy.
I also used to pray nightly, here's that version.
I greatly miss the community aspect of church, but don't really believe in the Biblical version of God, Heaven or Hell.
It's a semi complicated relationship. I understand the need for community yet dislike that particular one due to people taking the Bible literally. I don't think it makes me hypocritical. I think I'll try going to church again soon.
