Dating apps might seem like a great free way to meet that significant other. But most of them charge you a fee to do anything basic. Charges for things like messaging others if you both haven't liked each other, reading the profiles of people who liked you. It's not specific to one sexuality either. Straight and gay apps have this 'ask for money to do the bare minimum'.To me this is very scamy behavior. Asking to be paid for things that other social websites allow you to do for free. Let me explain why it's a waste. Let's say that one app alone charges $5 monthly, to send messages, see who likes you, etc. If you pay $5 for 5 apps that's $25 per month. So $300 per year. That same amount could buy four people food for weeks/ months. Is finding 'the one' worth spending this much per year? No. You'd be better off using different sites that do offer those things for free. Or attmpeting face to face interactions. Please, use literally anything else and attempt a relationship in a social group instead of wasting money.
