Some of the fans of feathered friends left for the Christmas holidays, someone decided to immerse himself entirely in work before the new year.
And someone continues to observe the life of birds. And not just to observe, but also to help the birds endure all the difficulties and hardships of a cold winter.
Another wave of cold weather has come to the European part of Russia. This is the third wave and it is much colder than the previous two. Now the street thermometer shows -32 degrees. I filled the bird feeders with sunflower seeds so that the birds could eat and gain strength tomorrow morning. Food is energy. The more energy, the more chances not to freeze.
Magpies cannot take food from the feeder. But they are constantly flying around this place, they pick up the crumbs of seeds that have fallen on the snow. I think they can't get the energy they need from picking up crumbs.
It seems to me that there should be 3 magpies! But for some reason, there are only two of them. Maybe something happened. Tomorrow I will try to observe them and see the third magpie.
Today is already December 22. After a few days, the length of daylight will begin to grow. New Year and Christmas are coming soon. It's time to start thinking about holidays!!!
