The morning turned out to be unusually casual - and at the same time completely different. At 5:30, I opened my eyes, looked out the window and stared into the dense darkness, and that made my heart feel a little heavier. The sun now wakes up much later than me.
But it was a normal day, a working day - I just don't have to go to the office today. Instead of packing in a hurry and driving through morning traffic jams, I stayed at home to work remotely. So today's day will start with a walk with the dog.
I thought that I would walk with the dog to the neighboring village and then back, but the morning sun rays illuminated the trees so cheerfully that I decided to change my walking plan and go to the river and watch the sunrise.
Down in the valley, all the grass is white. The thermometer showed -5 degrees, Winter is already on our doorstep. The water in the basin near the doghouse froze and I had to tap on the ice with a heavy kettlebell so that the dog could drink water.
I wanted to walk to a small lake, but the dog was not happy with my idea; she had other plans. We couldn't reach the lake because we were blocked by bushes, hummocks, and a marshy area. Even when there is already ice on the lake, the approaches to it will be dangerous because of these hummocks and the unfrozen water between them.
My camera is under repair. The master still hasn't called me. Well, I'll call the repair shop on Friday. And on Friday, I need to diagnose the car, I see it has problems with climate control, I need to check the temperature control system in the cabin, because winter is on the threshold.
By the way, it turned out that the narrow path, which used to be difficult to walk along in the summer, became wide because someone began to ride along it on an ATV and trampled all the interfering grass.
The dog is happy with such a walk, we haven't been to the river with her for a long time. And the reason was the lack of a good road, but now I see that it is possible to go to this place more often. A walk to the river can be more fun, but... Rain and snow are forecast to start next week.
The dog and I never pass by this place. But there were 2 benches. Drunken fishermen must have burned down one of the benches again. Last winter, fishermen had a supply of firewood here and a place for overnight accommodation was set up.
Our way back was through cemeteries. In winter, this is our main place for walking the dog. There is a good cleared road and few living people here.
