Good morning guys, welcome back with Ami. Now I want to show you all when I visited one of the tourist destinations that is still natural and still has value.
Tangkahan is one of the river destinations located in Langkat ,North Sumatra.Many local and even foreign tourists come to enjoy the natural beauty that is still pristine.
I went with 13 of my other friends, we were two people on one motorbike. It was early morning at 7am.The place where we gathered that morning was my house, because my house was the most strategic from all directions of my friend's house.We started our journey at 7.30, we brought a lot of equipment because we wanted to have a small barbecue there.
In the middle of the road we stopped at a food stall, we wanted to make rujak.Rujak is an Indonesian food, namely fruit eaten with spicy peanut sauce. Among us, none of us are good at cooking spicy peanut sauce.So we decided to just buy it, and the spicy peanut sauce was made fresh when we ordered it.
We arrived at Tangkahan at around 9.30am. Yes, the journey took us about two hours with the very hot morning sun.We were stuck in traffic, but thankfully everything went smoothly.
Once we arrived, we all rented a place where we sat right on the edge of the river, we changed clothes and tried to soak in the water for a while and then we continued with a chicken barbecue,and eat fruit salad with spicy peanut sauce that we bought earlier.
In the afternoon, my friends and I wanted to try one of the most exciting things when we are at the river, We played white water rafting, because there were 7 of us who wanted to play, we were charged a cheaper price than usual.
We followed the river from upstream to downstream, the guide who led us also took us to explore the other side of the river to take the Poto spot at the mini waterfall.
To get to the mini waterfall we had to travel for about 15 minutes from the big river, we entered the small river,My feet were a little sore because we had to walk over slippery river pebbles, but that's where the atmosphere got even more exciting because along the way we laughed and sang together.Actually, this was my first experience exploring a river and playing white water rafting and it was really fun.There is a special adrenaline rush when you have to come into direct contact with nature.
We explored the river from 1pm to 5pm.When we were downstream, our guide took us back to our resting place at the beginning using a jeep.We passed through the forest to get to our resting place at the beginning.We were tired but when we got on the Jeep, we were excited again😂.
We also saw elephants being bathed, Tangkahan is one of the elephant habitats in North Sumatra.And that was the first time I saw an elephant in real life.
And yes, we all finally prepared to go back to our respective homes, we finally arrived home at 10 pm, because there was a small accident on my friend's motorbike.But we are grateful that we arrived home safely,That day was the most tiring day but also the day where my adrenaline was very very high.
Yes guys, this is my story in the beautiful nature of the Tangkahan River.
