Hello, my friends.
This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.
Maybe someone remembers my post about the hard road, which I wrote on Thursday.
Today is Sunday and today was a really hard road. It usually takes me one hour to get from Kirov to my house. Today I drove for 3 hours. Or rather, I stood in a complete traffic jam for 2 hours.
What happened? I don't even know how to describe it all without swear words. Now I need to go to Kirov again. I was just walking around our village and a crossover drove up to me and asked for the way to Kirov. I explained that he would not pass through here, he had to go back three blocks. He wanted to drive along a dirt bypass road to the highway, but I warned him that his car probably wouldn't be able to drive along this road because the road wasn't cleared and there was deep snow on it.
I will say now that I was driving along this road again literally an hour and a half ago. It's calmer on the highway, but there are still a lot of cars and especially a lot of trucks. It is they who restrain the movement by stopping before the ascents and waiting for the truck going ahead to overcome the hill.

At 11 o'clock in the afternoon I left the house to take my daughter to Kirov, the regional center. It was already snowing, it started around 8 o'clock in the morning. Probably it was "patient number one", or rather a truck, with which a big jam began to form.

Having gone downhill, I already understood that a traffic jam had begun to form. And I began to wonder how I would go back home.
I left my daughter in Kirov with her friends and headed back. The time was about 13:00.

It turned out interesting. After leaving the city, I drove up to the first traffic light and was surprised that so many cars ahead of me were standing in front of the traffic light. Wow, there was a convoy of trucks at the intersection on the other side. That's it, I get it. It was still about 8 km to get to that cursed mountain. And we have already got into this traffic jam. Cars were coming to meet us, and we continued to stand. The condition of the highway showed. that there were no special vehicles for cleaning the road and adding special agents on the highway today.
What to do? To relax. And I sat quietly and played with a toy on my iPhone.
Sometimes we were overtaken by ambulances with sirens on. And about an hour later, a police car drove by with the siren on. They were driving in the wrong lane. Other cars were driving behind the police car. And I realized that I also need to get attached to this column. It was in this way, driving around the trucks, that I saw that they were standing in front of small slides. Surprisingly, there were no oncoming cars.
We almost drove up to the mountain, literally we were already 400 meters away from it, when a road service car drove up to meet us. It was already 3 o'clock in the afternoon. This car poured sand and salt on the mountain and the trucks were able to move! we moved forward. Hallelujah!

Still, one truck driver was unlucky. He drove off the highway into a snowdrift. But I will say that when I was driving to Kirov at night, this truck was no longer there. He's gone.

After driving about 15km more, I turned onto a dirt road. In the morning I didn't drive on it, I was afraid that there was a lot of snow on it and it would be difficult to drive on it. This time I was afraid that the trucks would stop again on the long mountain in front of the city, so I drove off the highway. By the evening it turned out that I had made the right choice. When I was driving towards Kirov, the trucks were standing at the intersection with this road, the city's central road turned into one continuous column of trucks.
And I had to drive on a dirt snow road. This road has not been cleaned for 2 weeks.

I am glad that my Hyundai TUCSON did not let me down in this situation. Now in the evening there is even more snow on the road. But I didn't stop and didn't take photos anymore, because I had to catch up and overtake some car. I was leaving a well-worn track and driving on a solid snow cover. The driver didn't want to let me go ahead. But I know this road well, and he happened to be on it by accident.
Why is there such a situation on the highway? The weather forecast showed heavy snowfall for that day. Yesterday this snowfall was in the Nizhny Novgorod and Kostroma regions. What's going on? Everything is simple. The road services that are responsible under the contract for this road simply do not have the right amount of special equipment. And no one will be punished, will not receive fines for such a bad job! Why? I won't write my guesses. This situation is all over Russia, it's a monopoly and everything connected with it.
Well. I wish all my friends, observers, and readers wonderful walks on Wednesdays. And also on Sundays and any other day!
I add my beloved @archon community as a 5% beneficiary of the post.
