There's lots of people out there who always try to tell us what to eat, when you listen to them, each of them have a different opinion on it.
It's not a secret that our bodies need a bounch of different materials to function correctly, however you don't need to worry about the exact amount of every one of them.
As long as you don't over eat and don't starve yourself, your body manages to get everything it needs.
I've grown up on bread, there wasn't much of other types of food around, every now and then some onions, potatoes and beans would find their way to my diet, sometimes meat or fruits, but 90 percent of everything I've ever eaten in my life was bread. I clearly remember dunking bread into sweetened tea days after days before class.
Did that effect my life? No... Maybe... Well I didn't grow up as tall as I wanted, but I graduated 2nd in my class, top ten in the whole school.
Around 99% of our bodies is carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and calcium. Almost any food you can find around is made of the same stuff. You don't need those expensive types of food to survive, you don't need them to stay healthy. Just eat whatever you can find and try to enjoy it.
When I hear something is essential to us, I ask myself: did the cavemen have it? If the answer is no, I don't need it either.
