It's Sunday night, you've had a great weekend and you start to ponder what you have to do at work tomorrow. Your mood changes, and you start to become anxious of the upcoming meetings, and stresses.
It's frustrating, and happens to many of us. Here's a few tips that may help you focus on some of the better things in life.
Start with the small stuff. It may seem cliche, but thinking about what you have to be grateful for is a great way to change your mood. If you can't think of anything, here are a few examples;
You have a job
You have an income
You're alive
You have the mental capacity to think, study and learn new skills that have given you the opportunity to apply for jobs
These are just a few examples, but you get the idea.
This will give you a mood shift as your focus will then be on gratitude, rather than lack.
The other thing that always helped me when I was in the workforce was being conscious of my thoughts, and not setting expectations. I found when I stopped expecting stress, and anxiety I didn't make those feelings a reality in my day.
Let me know your thoughts below. Do you have any remedies to relieve Mondayitis?
