Sweetcorn is high in insoluble fibre which means it may not be broken down fully but the fibre is needed for healthy digestion. Every summer sweetcorn is cheap in supermarkets as farmers begin their harvest. Often sweetcorn is turned into food for animals put some ends on our plates also and I'm glad because it's so nice with a bit of butter melted on top
