Yesterday after arriving and having a little walk in Rupit we went to have lunch to “el Mirador del Pont”, a restaurant of traditional Spanish food, and also Argentinian food (most of it meat).

“Pont” means “bridge” in Catalan, this name is because the most know part of Rupit is a “suspension bridge” and the restaurant is next to it.

As the main dish we ate “lentejas” (“lentils”).

In Spain we eat it a lot (especially in winter) with “chorizo”, onion, carrot, tomatoes, peppers, garlic and others.

As a second course we ate meat with baked potatoes.
I had “butifarra” (sausage), we eat this a lot in Catalonia, also in other parts of Spain.

And as a dessert, I had cheesecake, because I love cheese and cheesecake and I always choose it…

And my friends had “mel i mató”.

The “mató” is a type of fresh cheese, typical of the gastronomy of the Balearic Islands and Catalonia. It has less fat than most other cheeses.
In Catalonia we eat a lot as a dessert “mató” with honey, “mel i mató” means “mató with honey”.

While walking arroung Rupit we saw super big food :P
