Hello guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again guys. This is not long from my last post, and this post is another Splinterlands post to participate in the STAMPEDE Mage Secrets Battle Challenge.
Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700. I played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards whose level was not max. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.
Alright, without further ado, let's get to the main topic of this post!
BATTLE PREPARATION
Challenge Rules
RULESET: STAMPEDE
Description:
Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.
Prime use case for Summoner Possibilus the Wise.
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Tis but Scratches (All Monsters have the Cripple ability)
- Stampede (The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed)
- Mana Capacity 21
- Active Element Water, Life, Death and Dragon.
Line Up and Strategy
Unlike the battle in the previous post which has 3 rulesets, and must consider using strategy for all rulesets, in this battle there are only 2 rulesets and I think only Stampede rulesets that we should pay close attention to. Obviously, if you want to make the most of the Stampede, you must use the monster Trample. So I organized the line-up like the table below:
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | +1 Speed, +1 Armor | The best Summoner for Stampede is Possibilus the Wise, but since this account does not have the summoner, all I think is that Summoner can summon Trample monsters, so I chose Kelya Frendul for Diemonshark Summons who have Trample abilities. In addition, this Summoner is also very suitable for defensive and attacking strategies at the same time because it has +1 Speed and +1 Armor abilities. | |
| First | Trample, Enrage, Retaliate | Trample a monster who will be the main character in Stampede Rulesets. This is because the Stampede will only affect the monster's Trample, and in this formation I compiled only Diemonshark has the Trample ability. Well, besides Trample, this monster also has other abilities, namely Enrage and Retaliate. Obviously this is a very powerful and deadly tank and attacker. | |
| Second | Headwinds | This is 0 mana monster that I put in second place as a second tank. In addition, this monster is also a support monster because it will reduce the range attack damage of all enemy monsters. | |
| Third | Thank Heal, Repair, Strengthen | Maardali Guardian is a non-damage monster that acts as the most important support in my line-up. Maardali has Thank Heal and Repair to guard the tank as well as MVP in this battle, Diemonshark. This is because HP will be restored in every round, and also Armor will be repaired. So Diemonshark or other monsters that are in the first position will survive longer. | |
| Fourth | Triage, Silence | In addition to being a support, Angelic Mnadarin also doubles as an attacker with 2 range attacks and high speed. Angelic Mnadarin has a Triage ability that will restore the HP of other comrade monsters besides the one in the first position. It could be the rear tank that will receive this support because it is the target of the opponent's monster sneak. | |
| Fifth | Stun | Igor Drakspear is a very strong attacker because with 2 mana cost already has 3 dmage range attacks and also Stun. Moreover, this is a low mana battle, so maybe this monster will be very useful in this battle. | |
| Last | Dodge, Phase, Backfire | This is a rear tank in anticipation of the opponent using a monster sneak. Even though it doesn't have damage, Chaos Agent is one of the most annoying monsters, especially in the upper leagues. This is because even if you just stay silent, it could be that this monster will become a killer for the opponent's monster. This is because of the Bacfire ability, where the attack that misses hitting this monster will turn to the attacker. While this monster has a very big chance to avoid the opponent's attack because it is equipped with Dodge, Phase, and combined with high speed. |
You can see the line-up of both teams in the picture below. Although this is a low mana battle, both teams fill all slots with monsters.
The opponent uses the Summoner Waka Splinterblade, where the ability given is Poison. This Summoner will be very annoying if all the attacks given by his Poison are immediately activated. But I think this Summoner is also a little tricky because there is no guarantee which attack will be active, and if your luck is bad, it could be that there is no active Poison.
In the first position, there is Corpse Fiend which is 0 mana monster, and I think this is just a blunt mounted in front of the main tank. In second place, there is the Riftwing which I think is a real tank. Riftwing has the ability to Flying, Scavenger, Backfire, and Headwinds. Although Riftwing has no damage, this monster is quite annoying because its Backfire is combined with high speed and Flying ability so that the chance to avoid melee attacks and range is quite large, while if the attack on this monster misses then the attack will return to the attacker.
Next in third place is the Martyr monster, Venari Marksrat. I'm sure the purpose of choosing this monster is to activate the Martyr ability so that the stats of Riftwing and Uraeus will increase. Uraeus is in fourth place. Sneak monsters with the innate ability Poison. It also has Armor. The fifth position is Revealer, with Stun, Immunity and Reflection Shield abilities. DNA in the last position is Venari Bonesmith with Life abilities Leech, Poison and Dispel.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.
As usual, the battle begins with buff and debuff parties from all Summoners and Monsters. Seeing so many active abilities makes us even more interested in enjoying this match. After all buffs and debuffs are active, in 1 round, the opponent has a total of 8 attack damage, a combination of Melee, range and magic. While I only have 7 attack damage from Melee and Range monsters. From the amount of damage I did lose, but in terms of speed I have a higher average speed.
The first attack opportunity belonged to Angelic Mandarin, and his attack precisely killed Corpse Fiend. After that, it was Diemonshark's turn to attack and was only retaliated by Venari Bonesmith's attack. This attack from Bonesmith activates Diemonshark's Enrage, but Diemonshark's melee attack damage returns to normal due to Bonesmith's Dispel Venari. Until the first round ended, only Corpse Fiend came to this first round.
The second round begins with Diemonshark losing 2 HP exposed to the poison. No need to wait long, the opponent's tank, Riftwing died because of Igor Darkspear's attack. It's a pity that Diemonshark didn't attack because he was hit by Stun in the previous round. The second round ended with Revealer's moaning to Diemonshark.
Just like the previous round, the third round began with Diemonshark losing 2 HP due to poison, and therefore Diemonshark's HP was only 1 left. Furthermore, an epic moment when Diemonshark's Trample ability was active occurred. Diemonshark kills the Venari Marksrat, Trample who actively makes his attack continue to Uraeus, unfortunately this attack hits the Uraeus Armor. The stats of Uraeus also increased due to the martyrdom of the Venari Markstrat. Uraeus eventually died in this round due to Igor's attack, and the third round ended after Diemonshark mari due to Revealer's attack. Now the opponent is only 2 monsters left, while I still have 5 monsters.
The fourth round begins when Revealer is hit by Angelic Mandarin, and then dies after being hit by Igor Darkspear. Until the end of the fourth round, only Venari Bonesmith himself was left with his opponent.
My Torrent Fiend died in the fifth round. Venari Bonesmith is still receiving attacks from Angelic Mandarin and Igor Darkspear.
Finally, Vneari Bonesmith, who was the opponent's last monster, died in the sixth round. I won this battle with 4 monsters left, namely Mardaali Guardian. Angelic Mandarin, Igor Darkspear and Chaos Agent. You can see the final result of this battle in the picture below.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy I applied worked well in this battle. Trample from Diemonshark is very active, but it's already quite entertaining. It's a pity that when Trample was active, the Uraeus Armor hadn't broken yet, so the attack from Trample hit the Armor. If only there was no Uraeus Armor then the epic sight, Diemonshark finished off all the opponent's monsters until we would see it.
Well, Speaking of the strategy that the opponent devised, I don't think it's effective. Some monsters have excellent abilities, because Uraeus and Venari Bonesmith who originally already had the Poison ability must be combined with Waka Spiritblade who also has the Poison ability.
