Hi everyone, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. Today, I am going to talk about the Wailsworn Specter, an amazing Epic Water Unit card from Splinterlands. This card is not only known for dealing magic damage but also for its various support-oriented abilities that strengthen the entire team. Therefore, it is a highly effective card for those who prefer using the Water Splinter. Let’s dive into the details of this card.

The Wailsworn Specter is an Epic Water Unit from the Conclave Arcana Reward Set. It belongs to the Undead Bloodline and uses Magic Attack to strike directly at the enemy's Health, bypassing their Armor. With a Mana Cost of 6, it is quite effective in medium-mana battles, and its power increases as it levels up. The "Bloodline Tribute" ability is perhaps its most compelling feature; when the card is destroyed, allied units of the same Bloodline gain extra Speed, Armor, Health, and Attack Power. Consequently, even if the card is defeated, it leaves the team stronger.

Additionally, the "Amplify" ability boosts damage from allied units' Thorns, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and other reflect-type attacks. If opponents attack repeatedly, they suffer extra damage. At the maximum level, the Wailsworn Specter gains the "Invigorate" ability. This protects allied units from becoming Exhausted, allowing the team to maintain its effectiveness during prolonged battles.

However, regarding battlefield placement, I would generally advise against putting the Wailsworn Specter in the front line; placing it there could lead to a quick defeat due to its relatively low Health. Instead, positioning it in the middle or back allows it to deal consistent Magic Damage while providing various bonuses to the entire team. You get the most out of the "Bloodline Tribute" ability when using it alongside other Undead Bloodline units. It also works excellently with strategies based on Reflect and Thorns.
In my opinion, the Wailsworn Specter is a card that doesn't rely solely on its own attacks but actively strengthens the whole team. Its "Bloodline Tribute," "Weaken," and "Amplify" abilities work in tandem to weaken opponents and empower allies.
