Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. This is my second post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge AIMLESS. Like I said before, his week's theme is the opposite of last week's theme, Aim True. In these rulesets, all range and magic monsters have the Scattershot ability, where the target attack is undirected, so all monsters regardless of position have the possibility of being hit. Even the monster Camouflage did not escape Scattershot's attack.

Well, I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that in my opinion are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using my Scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700. I played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the main point of this post!

Battle Rulesets

rulesets.png

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • Stampede (The Trample ability cat trigger multiple times per attacks if the trampled monster is killed)
  • Aim True (Attack always hit their target)
  • Aimless (All Monsters have the Scattershot ability)
  • Mana Capacity 35
  • Active Element Water, Life, Death and Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

In accordance with the rulesets above, then I arrange the line-up in the order as below:

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
Quix The DeviousSummoner-1 Range, -1 SpeedI chose Summoner Quix The Devious because in addition to this Sumoner having a debuff reducing the Speed and Range attack of all enemy monsters, this monster can also summon monsters that I hope will become MVP in this battle such as the Void Dragon and Chaos Dragon. As you know, this Summoner's debuff is very useful for defense, and when combined with monsters that have aggressive attacks, the chances of winning will increase.
Void DragonFirstFlying, Void, PhaseI put the Void Dragon in first place because I forgot that besides Aimless, this is also Aim True battle, so even if relying on speed and ability to dodge attacks is useless. But because it does not rule out the possibility that the opponent will use a lot of Magic monsters, then choosing a tank with Void is a good choice.
Pelacor ConjurerSecondFlying, Reflect Magic, Devine Shield, PhasePelacor Conjurer will be the second tank. But this monster does not stand still, because this monster's Weapons Training will also be an attacker with damage like the Weapons Training monster.
Aves SturgisThirdWeapons Training, Devine ShieldAves Sturgis is the key in the formation that I compiled, where this monster will deal damage to non-damage monsters next to it. Pelacor Conjurer and Chaos Agent became attackers thanks to this monster.
Chaos AgentFourthDodge, Phase, FirebackJust like Pelacor Conjurer, Chaos agent will also be an attacker thanks to Aves Sturgis. If in normal battle conditions without Aim True rulesets, then this monster can also double as a tank as well because it has the ability to support avoiding enemy attacks because of the combination of high speed, Dodge and Phase ability and Fireback ability where attacks that miss this monster will turn to the attacker.
Chaos DragonFifthFlying, Scattershot, Blast, BLINDChaos Dragon, although the Scattershot ability is useless because all monsters also have Scattershot due to rulesets, but with huge magic damage accompanied by Blast ability, this monster is still a mainstay to surprise opponents. It could be that when I was cornered, this attack with blast from the monster would be able to turn the situation around.
Naga AssassinLastFireback, SwiftnessThe Swiftness buff of Dragon Assassin will increase the Speed of all friendly monsters, and this will greatly help in increasing the chances of winning. This monster will also double as a rear tank that is the target of attacks from Sneak monsters.

The opponent uses Summoner Kelya Frendul who has +1 Armor and +1 Speed buffs. Baakjira with Void, Slow, Strengthen, and Heal abilities is in first place, Tide Bitter who has Reach, Reflection Shield, and True Strike abilities in second place, Deeplurker who has Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize abilities in third position, Pelacor Bandit with Sneak and Flying abilities in fourth position, Riberbot Captain with Blast and Affliction abilities in fifth position and Swamp Spitter who is a Support monster with Repair and Giant Killer abilities in last position.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

This battle is very interesting because it requires up to 16 rounds to determine the winner. However, the condition where you were cornered in the round and was able to turn the situation around thanks to an attack from the Chaos Dragon became a very interesting moment. In just one attack, several mustard died together.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

Actually, the strategy I applied was quite risky, where I only used magic and range monsters. But this time this strategy went very effectively. Although to kill Baakjira is very difficult because some monsters are Magic monsters while Baakjira is a monster with Void, but finally Baakjira can die in the 16th round. It takes a lot of rounds to complete this battle, because Baakjira's Heal ability makes each round restore 5 Health points while the amount of damage that can enter all my remaining monsters is 6. This condition is certainly different if I use the monster's Affliction to stop the Heal ability. It could also be that if there is a Poison monster, to defeat Baakjira also does not require this much time.
