It was a very exciting and interesting 56 mana battle where I got to watch a thrilling and a very close battle. Both sides kept dealing great attacks and the battle reached a point where only one monster from each team was left.
My last backline monster was still alive and the enemy's last backline monster was also alive. Both monsters kept fighting each other but the problem was that my backline monster had lower health while the enemy's backline monster had more health. Because of that the enemy had the advantage and eventually won the battle.
Even though I lost but this battle was very interesting for me. I thought I should share it with you and explain the strategy I used according to the rulesets. So lets get into the battle.
First of all this 56 mana battle had two special rulesets called Dragon Breath and Healed Out.
DRAGON BREATH
Dragon Breath is a very dangerous ruleset that is completely different from normal gameplay. In this ruleset whenever an enemy is hit by a Magic or Ranged attack it receives the Burning effect.
The Burning effect reduces the monster's health by 2 points. Another disadvantage of Burning is that it can also spread to adjacent units. If that happens then the nearby allied monsters also receive the Burning effect and they also lose 2 health.
The best strategy is to select monsters that have the Cleanse ability because Cleanse removes the Burning effect. This helps protect your adjacent monsters from losing health.
You must select as many Magic and Ranged attackers as possible so you can apply the Burning effect to the enemy team. At the same time also choose monsters with high health so they can survive the Burning damage for a longer time. Good positioning is also very important because it can reduce the impact of the Burning effect on your team..
HEALED OUT
The second special ruleset is Healed Out. This is a ruleset where every healing ability is disabled.
During this battle, no monster or Archon can restore health in any way. If a monster has a healing ability it will not work during the battle.
This means you should avoid selecting healing monsters because their main ability becomes useless. You can only benefit from their other stats or abilities.
Keeping this ruleset in mind the best strategy is to avoid healing monsters and instead choose monsters with high health and high armor. You should also give more importance to monsters with Shield and Dodge abilities because they reduce damage or cause enemy attacks to miss, helping your team survive longer and avoid taking unnecessary Burning damage.
Keeping these two rulesets in mind I selected six monsters for this 56 mana battle and my opponent also selected six monsters.
My strategy was to choose an Archon with a -1 health ability. I also selected strong frontline tank monsters along with melee and magic attackers.
In the middle positions I placed ranged and magic attackers because they suited these rulesets very well. My backline also consisted of ranged and magic attackers. Since healing abilities were disabled I did not select any support monster.
Unfortunately, I did not have monsters with Flying or Repair abilities so my team was missing these two important abilities. I believe this was one of the main reasons for my defeat.
On the other hand the enemy also selected a very strong team. However my opponent made one mistake by choosing a tank healer monster. Since healing abilities were disabled in this battle that monster could not make full use of its main ability.
Overall it was a fantastic battle with exciting moments until the very end. Finally it became a 1 vs 1 fight but my last monster was eliminated and I lost the battle.
What strategy would you use in these rulesets? Which monster cards would you prefer? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
