Before this my focus was always to choose Splinterlands monster cards that are low in price but have good powers and strong stats. No doubt we always need to look for these hidden gem cards that are cheap but have excellent stats and abilities.
The most important thing for us is their power because that helps us gain a strong advantage in battles. At the same time I always try to choose low mana monster cards so that I can build strong teams for low and medium mana battles.
However it is also very important to have good high mana monster cards in your deck. Sometimes you get battles with 60 to 90 mana and at that time you need powerful high mana monsters with a mana cost of 14 or 16.
Today I will discuss a high mana monster card. I will talk about its stats, abilities and market price. The name of this monster card is RAGE and it belongs to the Dragon element.
Lets first talk about its appearance. Since it belongs to the Dragon element it looks like a huge dragon. It has two large wings and two big horns. It is sitting in an aggressive position ready for battle. Fire is coming out of its mouth and it looks ready to completely destroy any enemy that stands in its way. I was really impressed by its visual design.
This is a 16 mana monster card which makes it a high mana monster. Because of its high mana cost you can only use it in high mana battles. It is important to understand that your deck should have monsters for every type of mana battle. This gives you more flexibility when building your team.
This monster has 5 Armor which protects its Health from enemy attacks. It can deal heavy damage while its Armor absorbs attacks. It also has 12 Health making it a strong and durable monster. High mana monsters usually have high Health so they are great choices for the front line as powerful tanks. Its best position is in the first or second spot of your team.
It has 4 Speed which allows it to attack faster and also increases the chance that enemy attacks will miss.
This is a Magic monster with 4 Magic Attack. Every round it deals 4 Magic damage to the enemy. One of the biggest advantages of Magic attacks is that they ignore Armor and hit the enemy's Health directly. This means that even if an enemy has very high Armor it will not protect them from this monster's Magic damage. Only their Health can keep them alive.
At Level 4 this monster gains five powerful abilities making it extremely dangerous.
The first ability is Flying. Flying gives the monster a 25% chance to make enemy attacks miss. If both your monster and the enemy monster have Flying then neither gains an advantage over the other.
Flying is also especially useful in the Earthquake ruleset because Flying monsters are safe from Earthquake damage.
The second ability is Void. Void reduces the damage taken from Magic attacks by 50%. For example if an enemy Magic attack deals 4 damage Void reduces it to only 2 damage while the other 2 damage is blocked.
The third ability is Weapons Training. If an adjacent friendly monster has no attack at all Weapons Training gives it an attack. The granted attack can be up to a maximum of 3 power.
Because of this it is best to place support monsters with no attack next to this monster so they can benefit from the extra attack power.
The fourth ability is Life Leech. Life Leech works as both an offensive and defensive ability. Whenever this monster successfully damages an enemys Health then it gains Health equal to 50% of the damage dealt...
This also increases its maximum Health so its HP keeps growing throughout the battle. For example if it deals 4 damage to an enemy's Health it gains 2 Health making it stronger as the battle continues.
The fifth ability is Affliction. Affliction is especially powerful against healing monsters. It has a 50% chance to apply the Affliction effect when this monster lands a successful attack.
Once a monster is afflicted it cannot be healed making it much easier to defeat enemies
that depend on healing.
Now let's talk about its price and rental cost. The market price of this monster depends on its level. A Level 1 card usually costs around 9 dollars. As you upgrade it the price increases and a maximum level card can cost around 60 to 70 dollars.
It is an expensive card but if you can afford it adding it to your deck can give you a big advantage in battles.
If buying it is too expensive you can simply rent it. Renting this monster is much cheaper and allows you to use its powerful stats and abilities without spending a large amount of money.
