Hello Splinterlands lovers! How are you all? I hope you are all doing well. I am also doing well. So today I am back with a new Splinterlands post. Today I am reviewing a card that has a very high mana cost. Its mana cost is 13. It is a Magic attacker and it belongs to the Fire Splinter. The name of this card is Ballista Deadshot. So let's start the review.
At max level its mana cost is 13 which is very high. This means we can use it mainly in high mana battles. Its attack type is Magic and its Magic Attack is 5. Its Speed is also 5. Its Armor is 5 and its Health is 9. The combination of its stats is quite strong. Its 5 Magic Attack allows it to directly damage the enemy's Health. Its Armor is also quite strong and its Speed is also very good.
Now let's talk about its abilities. At max level it has three abilities: Scattershot, Dispel and Pinpoint.
Because of the Scattershot ability its Magic attack does not target one fixed enemy. Instead it attacks a random enemy. Sometimes this can be a disadvantage because we cannot control the target. But the advantage is that it can also randomly hit backline or support monsters. So it depends on your luck.
This is a very useful ability. When Ballista Deadshot successfully attacks an enemy monster it removes the magic buffs from that enemy. So if the opponent has given a monster a beneficial magic buff Ballista Deadshot can remove that buff.
At max level Ballista Deadshot gets the Pinpoint ability. Because of this ability allied Sneak attacks cannot miss. This ability is especially useful for teams that depend on Sneak attacks. In this way Ballista Deadshot does not only deal damage itself but it also makes the Sneak attacks of the whole team more reliable.
Now let's talk about its best position. In my opinion it is best to place Ballista Deadshot in the backline such as the 4th 5th or 6th position. Because it is a Magic attacker there is no need to place it in the front position. Keeping it in the backline can protect it from direct enemy attacks and help it stay safe for longer.
Now let's talk about its weaknesses. Its biggest weakness is its 13 Mana Cost which is very high. So it is not possible to use it in low-mana battles. Its second weakness is its Health because it has only 9 Health. For a card with a 13 Mana Cost its Health is quite low. So it is better to keep it in the backline so it can stay safe for longer. So these are its main weaknesses.
Now let's talk about my overall opinion. In my opinion Ballista Deadshot is a very powerful high mana Magic attacker. I like its 5 Magic Attack the most because it can deal a lot of damage to the enemy. Its Speed and Armor are also very good. Its three abilities are also very useful. I find the combination of these abilities quite interesting. If I had to give it a rating out of 10 I would give it 8.5/10 because its Mana Cost is very high. If its Mana Cost was a little lower I could give it an even higher rating.
