Well...it isn't TOO bad what my next door neighbors Sheri and Ed have been up to recently (as far as I know, that is) They're just plain weird…

Comically weird, is one thing, but they sometimes are scary weird, in the sense that I never know how dangerous they might become at any given point.

Dangerously weird is like being dangerously stupid… THEY might be BOTH...!!! Only time will tell.

Sheri called me the other day to ask if I've been finding dead rabbits in my trash can...?!?!?!?

I haven't and I told her so, but now I'm sort of expecting to find dead things in my cans. I'm being a bit hesitant about looking inside my trash for fear of what I might find!!!

She claims that her and Ed have been finding dead rabbits in their rubbish bin lately and wondered if the same has been happening to me.

Sheri told me that it looks as though their necks were broken...They are white rabbits and feared that it was her estranged family trying to send her a message!!!

It seems that ten years ago, she broke all family ties because they wanted to kill her. This month is the anniversary of that event, whatever it was...???

Actually, she once told me that her ex-husband tried to kill her, but when I asked about it recently, she said,

"He never tried to kill me; my family wants to kill me though"

Supposedly it has something to do with her Muslim roots and her bringing disgrace upon her clan... I don't know... It all sounds kind of crazy to me, but what the hell do 'I' know...???

Her husband Ed once told me that he, "was adopted", then when I asked him about it a couple of years afterwards, he claimed he never told me that and he wasn't adopted.

Maybe I'M the one who's nuts? Maybe I just imagine having conversations with them that never occurred...?? Maybe they don't even exist…???

OH MY GOD!!! I've gotta dig into this a bit more thoroughly.

ANYWAY, getting back to the dead rabbits...

Sheri asked me if I thought she should call the police and report the incidents. It's happened to them twice about a week apart.

"That's why we're keeping our trash can in the back yard, beyond the locked gate, in case you noticed." She informed.

Why the hell would I notice such a trivial change in their landscape...?!?!?! Holy-Shmoely... I might notice if they put their damn can in my backyard...but otherwise, who other than people like her would spot such an insignificant change in the neighborhood?

It's totally weird I tell ya...

Just a little while ago, while I was sitting on my back porch, I heard the sound of an empty trash can being wheeled about. As I peered beyond the top of his tall wooden fence, I saw Ed hiding his trash can in the backyard, behind a tree.

It's a rather large old Sycamore, with a wide, fat trunk... perfect for hiding garbage cans from sneaky, dead rabbit tricksters...

The tell tale grimace upon Ed's face, gave indication that he was highly perturbed, so I didn't acknowledge him with a friendly hello and wave of the hand...

As a matter of fact, I'm glad he didn't see me sitting out there without wearing a face mask, I would have hated to further ruin his day.

I wouldn't be surprised if they finally sprung for at least a cheap security camera and are aiming it out the window, straight at that tree with the can behind it.

I'd have taken a picture of their hidden plastic container to show you, but I was afraid of being sprayed by mace and hit over the head with a baseball bat… For all I know, Sheri is hiding in the bushes, ready to spring out at any moment in attack mode.

Well, my friends... That's about it for now. Have a happy and stay well.

Ciao
