Do you feel that often the great performance of our bodies starts with a good breakfast menu? For me, it is very influential. Without a good breakfast, I fell asleep more easily which made me fail to be productive.
Sometimes I also feel like I don't have time for breakfast. I skipped breakfast and then went to work. But then in the end I ended up torturing myself. I may be unable to concentrate on developing ideas or solving problems as they occur. So in the end I realized how important breakfast is.
Breakfast is also a good start to loving ourselves by giving a good breakfast. I also try to always have breakfast. If I don't have time to make my own breakfast, I also stop at a breakfast place near the meeting point location with my clients. So I can save some time after breakfast, to meet my coworkers.
This time I will invite me to explore the breakfast menu Soto Banjar. I hope you enjoy this trip. Stay tuned!
Soto is a traditional Indonesian dish that has many variations of sauce and toppings. Every region or tribe in Indonesia has a different type of Soto. Some have a creamy and heavy sauce with a lot of fat in it, but some have a light and refreshing sauce.
One of the popular ones is Soto Banjar. This is my first time trying Soto Banjar because this dish is not native food from where I live, nor is it traditional food from my tribe.
I found a place selling breakfast that provides this menu. So I didn't mind at all trying the Soto Banjar menu when I saw the menu banner as I passed the place.
There are many humble places that offer good food on the side of the road. I found a humble place that doesn't have a specific brand name.
The place is quite clean and has a bit of a modern touch with nice use of chandeliers. The important thing is that the cleanliness of the place makes us not hesitate to enter the humble place.
I was interested to enter this humble place because of the Soto Banjar menu offered them. One of the characteristics of Soto Banjar that can be seen from their sales window is the shape of rice cakes (lontong in Indonesian) which have a triangular shape. It is different from rice cakes in general which are long like a roll.
I also ordered a serving of Soto Banjar with a glass of warm sweet tea to comfort my stomach. Then, what was my impression when I tried this menu for the first time?
The transparent gravy of Soto Banjar makes the overall taste light when it passes through the tongue. But that doesn't mean it lacks taste. The transparent gravy is still filled with rich flavors from spices such as nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon. Fragrant are also warm in the body.
So it's good for the stomach in the morning. Not heavy on the stomach but still filling with pieces of rice cakes. Other fillings such as chicken pieces and slices of egg add to the enjoyment of this Soto Banjar.
I have no regrets. I am grateful to find this delicious, traditional menu for my morning. :)
Soto Banjar is originally typical of the Banjar tribe, South Kalimantan. This traditional dish is the best choice for those of you who don't like the type of coconut milk sauce that is usually found in traditional Indonesian soup menus.
What is your favorite traditional soup dish from your tribe, or from where you live? It's a good memory to start creating it with good food. :)
