Dinner while enjoying the serenity of the view of the place.
New year's day. A new spirit, even though there are lots of old memories will always be in the heart. That includes many memories when we visit various places.
I browsed through my collection of travel photos on my phone. Mostly, it was my trip to the city of Banda Aceh, the city where my brother lives. All of these are recommended places that are worth visiting, especially when on vacation.
So I decided to share my impression of a place that I still remember clearly to this day. A place with good coffee, and food that also gives me a new experience about taste.
The place was named "Mahhota Kopi". I remember that place as a green house. why? Let's we see!
"MAHHOTA KOPI"
From the first time we saw this place, it seemed to have a lot of lights using small light bulbs hanging in various places. The interesting thing is that this place has a design using glass material. So, when we see this place from the front it looks exactly like a green house.
Go further into "Mahhota Kopi", it really does look like a green house. In particular, with the vines that spread on the various pillars of the place. Also, the vines that cover the entire roof of this place. It looks good because it looks refreshing to the eyes.
Because we came at night, the effect of the freshness of these green plants was not too visible. Meanwhile, the beauty of the hanging lights is more clearly visible and I can feel the calming effect more.
I really like being in this "Mahhota Kopi". I really feel like I'm in a green house but the most important thing is I really like the beauty of the light bulbs that are designed to add beauty and also give a calm effect at night. I've always loved light bulbs designed that way. It feels like calling my soul to be calm and bring out lots of creative ideas.
Because it uses glass material in buildings, we can take advantage of this to see more of the view in front of us. For example enjoying the city street view. Indeed, this place is in the city center but it doesn't sound noisy because of the distance between the streets and places. I love enjoying street scenes like this.
Do you also like to enjoy the street view? At night we can see passing vehicles on the street or just look ahead blankly. Maybe it's because I like to seek creative ideas and get my brain to work together, so maybe I prefer to look to the future and especially street scenes with lots of new things that I can come up with.
In a place that is like a green house, they also combine wood materials as well as industrial materials such as iron. It looks like a green house which has a classic atmosphere.
For space, it looks quite wide. "Mahhota Kopi" divides the space into 2 parts. In the middle of this place, we can see a special path for people walking.
Meanwhile, the right and left parts are filled with tables and chairs to sit on.
I did not have time to photograph many details about this place. For example, about the various plants in this "Mahhota Kopi".
I only photographed several types of cacti that were planted in this place. I also photographed several areas where there were fruitful grapes.
For the best visiting time, I recommend visiting this place at night. The glass material used for building this place, makes the place tend to feel hot during the day. If you want to visit early in the day, you can choose a time when the sun has not fully risen, or when it is nearing sunset.
MY DINNER MENUS
After we've enjoyed the view from various angles of this place, it's time for me to invite you to see what menus I ordered for dinner.
At that time, I didn't really have a good appetite yet. So, I purposely don't order food that is too heavy or too filling. I choose food like snacks but it can still feel full in my stomach.
"Mahhota Kopi" provides a variety of menus that vary from Indonesian food to western food. For the food menu at that time, I chose the smoked beef and cheese waffle menu.
It's been a long time since I haven't enjoyed the waffle menu. So, when it was me seeing the waffle menu in the menu book, I was interested in choosing to enjoy waffles as a dinner menu. The waffle menu served by has smoked beef and cheese filling.
Then what does the waffle containing smoked beef and cheese taste like? With the price of IDR 25,000 / USD 1.8, I think the waffle I ate at that time had a pretty good taste. Even though it's not a menu that I really recommend from this place. The texture of the waffle itself feels dry. So it's a little annoying in my opinion.
However, overall it doesn't matter because the texture of the waffle is greatly helped by the taste of the filling, which is smoked beef and cheese. With the spicy sauce in it really helped me to finish the menu.
If only the waffle had a softer texture and wasn't as dry on the surface as the waffle, maybe it would have tasted more perfect overall. But..., for a menu that costs under 2 dollars, I didn't feel disappointed having ordered the smoked beef and cheese waffle menu.
A Drink Menu
For drinks, at that time I chose to order the coffee menu. I chose to order a coffee tiramisu which I had never ordered anywhere else before. So, of course, I was curious how the coffee combined with the taste of the tiramisu.
The taste of coffee tiramisu is like a sweet mood booster. It feels like inviting us to feel less sad when we drink it.
But the problem for me is that it tastes really sweet. That's why there are times when I feel that coffee tiramisu becomes uncomfortable on my tongue.
For under 2 dollars (USD 1.8), the same price as the food menu I ordered earlier, I also wasn't disappointed having ordered the coffee tiramisu this time. Maybe the universe deliberately told me to enjoy sweet things at that time, to revive my happy mood.
Well, that was about my memories of my journey to Mahhkota Kopi. It's quite a place I still remember in my mind. A quite unique place with a design like a green house. In my opinion, it is very suitable for a place to have dinner with the people you care about.
If I visit Banda Aceh City again another time, I won't mind visiting Mahhkota Kopi again. It is a recommended place to visit.
