That night was a day where I felt very tired. I was traveling alone and really wanted to be alone.
I wore nice clothes, although I was a bit lazy and went to the hotel restaurant. Though I just want to wear a nightgown, I know it's inappropriate. Lol. Well, I was at the “Four Points by Sheraton Hotel” at that time. I don't feel like leaving the hotel to find other food. So finally I decided to have dinner only in the hotel. AND, ALONE. OKAY, ALONE.
I looked for information in the lobby about the restaurant in the hotel. I chose The Onyx Lounge for my dinner that night which was actually late.
I feel happy because the restaurant I chose inside is quiet, so I can feel like I'm at home, having dinner alone and it feels very private, nice! Another advantage is filming the situation in this restaurant for you guys. Lol.
Let's follow my dinner experience at "Four Points by Sheraton Hotel" to be precise at The Onyx Lounge.
The design of the restaurant looks luxurious and brightly colored. I liked the furniture used in the restaurant. It combines several designs at once which makes the interior of the restaurant look lively but still connected as a whole.
The risk of having dinner late at night is that I have to accept the fact that there are only a few basic menus available. I can't order the unusual menu.
The menu in general that I can order, my choice is Grilled Chicken and Iced Tamarillo Juice.
OH MY GOD! This portion of Grilled Chicken really caught my eye. Look at the potatoes. It looks like a giant serving of mashed potatoes!
So when asking for my order, a male waiter asked me for his choice of potatoes, whether potato wedges or mashed potatoes. I chose Mashed Potatoes. But yes.... I never thought that the portion of mashed potatoes was so big. It was beyond my expectations!
Luckily, I had a good appetite at the time, so I was sure I could finish the portion!
Grilled chicken had just the right level of doneness for me. The seasoning is perfectly absorbed, and the flavor is even richer with the mushroom sauce served.
For complementary vegetables are also grilled. I felt very happy at dinner that night I could feel the experience of new flavors on my tongue.
It was my first time eating creamy buttery mashed potatoes. It was also my first time eating fresh asparagus. All delicious!
Being alone in the restaurant's indoor space, I felt like a queen. :) It makes me feel like I'm in a nice private room. Oh, it's very soothing, slice thin pieces of chicken meat, put it in your mouth, and then touch the delicious taste with the tongue that has been craving! Also, the fresh and crunchy texture of the vegetables is an infinite blessing!
For Iced Tamarillo Juice, separate liquid sugar is served. So we can measure our own sweetness according to taste. This is my favorite juice. You may see this type of juice in my previous food blogs :)
Tamarillo is very easy to find in the city of Medan. The taste is very sour, so we really need sugar to balance the taste to become a fresh sweet taste.
Fresh Iced Tamarillo Juice to color my night to be more colorful with a taste experience on the tongue. :)
Overall, it was a fancy dinner for 10USD that I will never forget. I was able to finish the delicious portion of big mashed potatoes, with a luxurious restaurant atmosphere and gave me the experience of being in a private room. It was a perfect dinner at a Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. :)
