Dibujo: Ban - El zorro de la avaricia / Drawing: Ban - The fox of greed [Esp-Eng]

¿Cómo están, compañeros hivers? El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi proceso dibujando a Ban, el zorro de la avaricia de la serie de manga y anime Nanatsu No Taizai o comúnmente reconocida como Los siete pecados capitales, transmitida desde el 1ro de Noviembre de 2015 por la plataforma de streaming Netflix.


Un poco de la historia de Ban


Siendo un humano pobre, Ban creció robando en las calles y siendo maltratado a medida de que crecía. A pasar del daño o las decepciones que sufrió jamás perdió su buen corazón. Con el tiempo encontró por mera curiosidad la Fuente de la Juventud, que era custodiada por la princesa hada Elaine, quien se enamora de él y muere protegiéndolo, suplicándole que beba de la Fuente de la Juventud. Así es como adquiere su poder de inmortalidad y pierde a su amada al mismo tiempo. Ban cuida de lo que queda del bosque de las hadas y asegura su crecimiento. Combate junto a su mejor amigo el capitán de Los 7 pecados Capitales, Meliodas el dragón de la ira (príncipe de la raza demoniaca) y los demás pecados.

Llega a entrar en conflicto con uno de sus compañeros, King el oso de la pereza y el rey del clan de las hadas porque lo acusa de ser el responsable de la destrucción del bosque y la muerte de su hermana Elaine, pero más tarde se aclara la confusión y la ira de King se apacigua.

Ban luego de pelear codo a codo con su grupo, decide salir de nuevo en busca de la manera de resucitar a su amada Elaine a quien lleva esperando por más de 20 años. No ha estado con más nadie en todo ese tiempo y siempre ha esperado reencontrarse con ella con gran anhelo.

Gracias a su poder de inmortalidad puede recibir cualquier daño, herida o ataque y aún así no puede morir. Posee una fuerza extraordinaria y su habilidad mágica "Hurto" le permite debilitar la magia de sus oponentes o arrebatar algún objeto físico.

Despreocupado, divertido, sarcástico, amable y de buen corazón. Un humano de apariencia física de 23 años, debido a que dejó de envejecer al tomar de la Fuente de la Juventud, pero teniendo 43 años realmente. En el caso de Elaine tiene apariencia de una niña pero en realidad tiene más de 700 años de edad.

Finalizando el anime logra reencontrarse con Elaine debido a poderes oscuros del enemigo, pero poco a poco logran resolver para mantenerla viva sin necesidad de los poderes oscuros. Se casan, viven juntos en el Bosque de las Hadas y tienen un hijo.

Primero comencé con algunas líneas simples como contornos para poder avanzar con los detalles.

Procedí con los detalles más básicos del rostro, pero no los intensificaría aún.

Luego me enfoqué en los detalles del cabello y la chaqueta para que fuera tomando forma.

Comencé a añadir las sombras en la zona del cuello, la chaqueta y reforzando los rasgos del rostro.

Ahora tocaba añadir las sombras, que realzan al personaje. Dejé de último el área del rostro. Ya estaba tomando el parecido que quería.

Por último agregué las sombras en la parte del rostro y remarqué algunos puntos que necesitaban más oscuridad. Realmente me gustó mucho el resultado. Es el personaje favorito de mi novia y a petición de ella fue que hice el dibujo, le gustó.

En esta ocasión decidí no difuminar el dibujo. Y es que la verdad me gustó como quedó de esa manera. De todos modos seguiré aprendiendo y probando qué es lo que mejor me funciona y adaptarme a un estilo en específico para que los dibujos cada vez sean mejores.



Lamento si mis métodos son básicos y que debo mejorar muchas cosas, pero obviamente no soy un experto. Solo quise terminar mi dibujo. Espero que les haya gustado.

How are you, fellow hivers? Today I want to share with you my process drawing Ban, the fox of greed from the manga and anime series Nanatsu No Taizai or commonly known as The Seven Deadly Sins, transmitted since November 1, 2015 by the streaming platform Netflix.


A little bit of the history of Ban


Being a poor human, Ban grew up stealing on the streets and being mistreated as he grew up. Despite the hurt or disappointments he suffered he never lost his good heart. Eventually he found out of mere curiosity the Fountain of Youth, which was guarded by the fairy princess Elaine, who falls in love with him and dies protecting him, begging him to drink from the Fountain of Youth. This is how he acquires his power of immortality and loses his beloved at the same time. Ban takes care of what is left of the fairy forest and ensures its growth. He fights alongside his best friend the captain of the 7 Deadly Sins, Meliodas the dragon of wrath (prince of the demon race) and the other sins.

He comes into conflict with one of his companions, King the bear of laziness and king of the fairy clan because he accuses him of being responsible for the destruction of the forest and the death of his sister Elaine, but later the confusion is cleared up and King's anger is appeased.

Ban, after fighting side by side with his group, decides to go out again in search of a way to resurrect his beloved Elaine, whom he has been waiting for more than 20 years. He has not been with anyone else in all that time and has always looked forward to meeting her again with great longing.

Thanks to his power of immortality he can take any damage, injury or attack and still cannot die. He possesses extraordinary strength and his magical ability "Theft" allows him to weaken the magic of his opponents or snatch some physical object.

Carefree, funny, sarcastic, kind and kind-hearted. A human of physical appearance of 23 years old, due to the fact that he stopped aging by taking from the Fountain of Youth, but being 43 years old really. In Elaine's case, she looks like a child but is actually over 700 years old.

At the end of the anime he manages to reunite with Elaine due to dark powers of the enemy, but little by little they manage to solve to keep her alive without the need of the dark powers. They get married, live together in the Fairy Forest and have a son.

First I started with some simple lines as outlines in order to move forward with the details.

I proceeded with the most basic details of the face, but I wouldn't intensify them yet.

Then I focused on the details of the hair and the jacket so that it would take shape.

I started adding the shadows in the neck area, the jacket and reinforcing the features of the face.

Now it was time to add the shadows, which enhance the character. I left the face area last. I was already getting the resemblance I wanted.

Finally I added the shadows in the part of the face and highlighted some points that needed more darkness. I really liked the result. It's my girlfriend's favorite character and it was at her request that I did the drawing, she liked it.

This time I decided not to blur the drawing. And the truth is that I really liked how it turned out that way. Anyway, I will continue learning and trying what works best for me and adapting to a specific style so that the drawings will be better and better.



I'm sorry if my methods are basic and that I need to improve many things, but obviously I'm not an expert. I just wanted to finish my drawing. I hope you liked it.
