Saludos, amigos de @fulldeportes. Mi preocupación y frustración no terminan; la angustia deportiva está al máximo nivel. Les confieso que, después de esa victoria 4 carreras por 1 ante Caribes de Anzoátegui, donde la Nave conseguía su segundo triunfo, pensé que comenzaba a levantar vuelo y que por fin estábamos encontrando el camino en esta temporada 2026-2027. Como buen magallanero, uno siempre quiere creer que las cosas van a mejorar, que el equipo va a despertar y que las victorias comenzarán a llegar. Pero vaya sorpresa la que nos hemos llevado, porque después de esa alegría llegaron tres derrotas consecutivas que nos volvieron a poner los pies sobre la tierra.

I confess that, after that 4–1 victory over Caribes de Anzoátegui, which gave the Nave its second win, I thought the team was beginning to take flight and that we were finally finding our way in the 2026–2027 season. As a true Magallanes fan, you always want to believe things will improve, that the team will wake up and that the victories will start coming. But what a surprise we got, because that joy was followed by three consecutive defeats that brought us right back down to earth.

Lo más doloroso es que dos de esas derrotas fueron ante nuestros eternos rivales, los Leones del Caracas. Perder un clásico nunca es fácil de digerir, pero hacerlo de esta manera duele todavía más, especialmente cuando uno espera que el equipo reaccione y demuestre de qué está hecho. Ahora mismo siento que Magallanes está metido en un problema serio, porque no se trata solamente de perder partidos, sino de la forma en que los estamos perdiendo. Incluso cuando parece que tenemos el partido en nuestras manos, no sé qué está pasando, pero termina llegando lo peor.

The most painful part is that two of those defeats came against our eternal rivals, the Leones del Caracas. Losing a classic matchup is never easy to swallow, but losing this way hurts even more, especially when you expect the team to react and show what it is made of. Right now, I feel Magallanes is in serious trouble, because it is not just about losing games, but also about the way we are losing them. Y aquí es donde vuelvo a señalar lo que para mí sigue siendo el gran dolor de cabeza: el pitcheo. Tengo que decirlo: el trabajo del bullpen de mi equipo ha sido de lo más garrafal y vergonzoso. Las cosas son como son. Recibir tantas carreras en apenas tres encuentros es algo que preocupa; no son 10, 15 o 20, ¡son 31 carreras permitidas! Porque, por más que los bateadores intenten responder, resulta complicado competir cuando el rival consigue fabricar tantas anotaciones. Uno puede entender que haya días malos, que el contrario también juega y que el béisbol tiene estas cosas, pero cuando el problema se repite, ya empieza a ser motivo de preocupación. ¡Así se nos hace cuesta arriba levantar cabeza!

And this is where I go back to pointing out what I believe remains our biggest headache: the pitching. I have to say it: my team's bullpen has been downright disastrous and embarrassing. That's just the way it is. Giving up so many runs in just three games is worrying; we're not talking about 10, 15, or 20 runs. We're talking about 31 runs allowed! No matter how hard the hitters try to respond, it is difficult to compete when the opposition keeps putting so many runs on the board. You can understand that there will be bad days, that the other team has to play too, and that baseball can be unpredictable. But when the same problem keeps happening, it becomes a real cause for concern. It's becoming incredibly difficult for us to get back on our feet!

Lo del último encuentro ante Caracas fue especialmente doloroso. Llegar al décimo inning con la esperanza de resolver el partido y terminar permitiendo cinco carreras en esa entrada fue un golpe duro para quienes seguimos a la Nave. No quiero perder la fe ni mucho menos dar la temporada por perdida, porque todavía queda camino por recorrer, pero tampoco podemos seguir tapando el sol con un dedo. Magallanes necesita reaccionar, encontrar respuestas desde el montículo y recuperar la confianza cuanto antes. Porque una cosa es comenzar mal y otra muy distinta es no encontrar la manera de salir del hueco. Triste, pero cierto.

What happened in the last game against Caracas was especially painful. Reaching the tenth inning with hopes of settling the game, only to end up allowing five runs in that inning, was a hard blow for those of us who follow the Nave. I don't want to lose faith, much less write off the season, because there is still a long way to go. However, we cannot keep pretending that everything is fine. Magallanes needs to react, find answers on the mound, and regain its confidence as soon as possible.
