Rice is a typical Malaysian food in the form of bluish rice. Blue dye for rice comes from flower petals. Kerabu means a mixture of raw leaves (ulam). The aroma of gray rice comes from the leaves of finely chopped herbs, such as kecombrang flowers, leaves kesombrang, kadok leaf, pegagan leaf, turmeric leaves, or kencur leaf. Brown rice is different from the blue rice.
