Beautiful memories are so priceless, and I can't help but smile at the beautiful memory I've created with a new foreign friend.
A few weeks ago, I met Ceecee, a Chinese, at a get-together. My friend and her mom are friends, and when I got to the venue, I met Ceecee burying her head on her phone; she never wanted to talk to anybody.
Before the end of the party, I was surprised to see Ceecee beside me asking what my name was, and that was how we connected.
Ceecee officially invited me to her house to come to spend some time with her, and I honoured the invitation.
Today being Friday, I decided to visit Ceecee, little did I know that today was also China's new year. Ceecee told me that not only today but tomorrow is inclusive as well, and I took the opportunity to learn about the culture of the Chinese. She taught me how to eat using chopsticks and taught me simple words like bicycle, water, and orange in Chinese and I think we bonded so much today.
Just when I thought the fun was over, she brought out her bicycle and asked me to teach her how to ride a bicycle because she didn't know how to ride one.
It was such a fun moment for me, even though it's been a while since I last rode a bicycle. I granted her request as I didn't want to disappoint her, so I held her bicycle from behind and taught her how to pedal gradually right in her compound, a few times she almost fell off when I took off my hands but I ensured I protected her well enough from falling.
She told me that the bicycle was a new one and a gift from her dad's friend in China, and I loved the features of the bicycle.
The bicycle has a bell that acts like a horn in case she is on an errand; it also has a basket where she can keep some items as she rides her bicycle. This is such an ideal gift for an adorable child-like Ceecee.
The seat is so comfortable, and what I loved most was the colour of the bicycle. I love white as much as I love a black dress. Ceecee is a very neat girl, so I am sure that the bicycle will retain its beauty since she will be washing it whenever it's dirty.
The bicycle has two seats in case a friend wants to accompany her out; both of them can have fun on one bicycle.
I enjoyed the little moment I spent with her as she laughed genuinely and had so much fun with me. I was moved to get a bicycle for myself too, but right now, there's a hike in the price of everything in my country.
If I had a bicycle, I would have invited her over for a cycling date if there's anything like that. Haha because I do enjoy cycling a lot, I want us to have a cycling date where will we ride on a field as we chitchat in between, I would love to experience such a date with my new friend.
