RE: Morning Run

The pictures are probably a bit flattering. I find it a fairly bleak and open footpath, but it's the flattest area I know locally so it perfect for doing intervals.

It's going to be a few more days before I can run again, that's for sure.

RE: Morning Trail Run

It's a beautiful place to go running and when the weather is bad I don't see many other people but there is always the odd runner or two on the trails. I've been running for a few years now, since the

Not too bad really. Just the run off from the fields. Having said that, our local river is a very brown colour today.

RE: Lincoln Half Marathon - 5th Oct 2025 - Race Report

Thank you for an excellent update Dan, I did find it an enjoyable read and once again, well done! It's a shame the organisation took a little bit of shine off of your day but delays and parking issues

Great running Dan, well done. I see your last couple of kms were you quickest too which shows great pacing. Looking forward to your race report.

RE: Morning Run

I'm normally a lot slower. I just put a lot more effort into this run than usual. I'm paying the price for my exuberance today though.

Thank you all for your messages. It might be a few days before I manage any kind of running again.

Yes it is. That's "St Michael the Archangel" Church in the village of Dundry. All the villages seem to have wonderful looking churches.

Thank you. The real reason for my change of route was because the road was closed. I haven't found out why it was closed though.

RE: Cheddar Gorge Trail Marathon

It was certainly very hilly and I didn't have any cheese until I got home. I was very pleased to see they were handing out "mini cheddars" at every water station though.

Agreed, and It's so frustrating knowing that it's entirely my own fault. I was just not paying enough attention on a rough farmers track. Luckily this time I've managed to get away with just a few light

RE: Afternoon Run - 5km (sunshine and a brief review of 2024)

Wow, 2600km is nothing to be disappointed with! That's a brilliant effort for the year - well done. I also had an injury riddled year and was disappointed with 1100km as my target was 2024km. (Silly I
