Hello everyone! It's been a very long time since my last post—so long that I can't even recall it—and that's all caused by the fact that there haven't been any felines around here for quite some time. There were also a few of attempts to call upon some of the cats that I accidentally met on the street, aside from a couple of random ones who occasionally walk past the yard and go on their way - I've ended up emptycathanded.
Until yesterday...
We always put lunch crumbs under the cherry tree by the front door for the birds and sparrows who have made the tree their home, among which were a few pieces of my unbaked bread.
Tziki enjoyed it as well, along with the birds.
Tziki, who is that?
Our newfound pet is Tziki (so we currently believe).
Bluish gray puffy, with sharp yellow green eyes.
We found her tirelessly chomping on pieces of bread, and then dear darling brought her leftover soup, which she literally frowned upon and boycotted.
Bit by bit, she slowly approached us, shyly cuddling around legs, carefully listening to the howl of the wind, occasionally flinching when it blows stronger. We reached the garden as she started meowing; oddly we both thought it was a male, which is how we came up with the name, but we kept it even when realized it was a cat.
The traces of dried flowers and branches could be witnessed on the fur, showing that she was hiding around the yard.
And I'm whining for one some time already!
The sharpness of her teeth later proved that she was still a young kitten as she demonstrated her martial arts skills while resting on her back in my lap.
It's almost been a year since I've had this kind of pampering with a cat, I shyly admit that I missed it, and I claim that no one and nothing in this world can cuddle like a cat.
She caressed the stairs, the rug, the soil in the aromatic garden, she visited all the corners and most of the plants in the garden. Unfortunately, she spent the night outside, and I didn't want to believe I'd wake up to find her at the door.
However...
She reacted as soon as she heard our voices, quickly pushing the muzzle into the bowl of lukewarm milk.
We spent most of the day outside, alternatively cuddling with her; I'd say she runs more freely and doesn't jump at every sound, looks more calm, doesn't meow as soon as we move away, and there were a few of tries to enter the house.
She later killed a butterfly and a mouse, but for now she merely pecks and watches the birds; I don't want her to catch any of them.
I forgiven her for the butterfly, but we would have argued over the bird.
Currently Miss.Tziki is sleeping on the big yellow armchair, I'll give her another cuddle round and some snacks before sunset.
(in case I find it there)
I would like her to stay, and be our boring frowning creature.
