MY LITTLE COMPANION // When a Cat Becomes More Than Just a Pet .

Let me introduce you to my cat, whose name is Mexi. He is a local cat that I found by the roadside. At that time, he was still very small and looked extremely thin and neglected. The first thing that made me like him was his very unique coat pattern, which is commonly called a “Mujair cat” here. He also had a very long and straight tail, and that was what made me interested in keeping him as a pet.
It turned out that this cat also had many scars all over his body, and that made me hesitate for a moment about whether I should keep him. So, the choice I made at that time was to take him to a veterinary pharmacy in my area. After he was treated and declared safe, I finally felt confident enough to take care of him and make him my pet.
I have been taking care of this cat for about 1 year and 8 months, and he is most likely now more than 2 years old. He is very active and very good at climbing. I often take him with me into the plantations or even into the forest, and he is my loyal companion who always accompanies me whenever I go looking for photographs around the plantations.
However, when he grew up, something I really didn't want to happen started happening. He often went out of the house looking for females, and he even stayed away all night without coming home. Maybe my mistake from the beginning was not having him neutered. Now he has grown into a healthy adult cat, but he really loves getting into fights and looking for a mate.
And the part that I really don't like is that he has now started peeing in random places. I even took him back to the vet, and it turned out that this is something normal for adult cats. They intentionally pee in different places to mark their territory.
Now he has grown so big, and I just don't have the heart to get him neutered now. So, the only thing I can do is keep monitoring his movements and the new areas he continues to explore.
Honestly, he is the most loyal cat I have ever had. It feels like he understands my feelings. Whenever I am feeling sad, he will come over, gently rub his body against me, and then sleep on my lap. He is so understanding, and that's why I love him so much.
Oh, and ever since he was a kitten, I've taught him how to hop on and sit on my motorcycle. So now, I often take him for rides around the village, and we've become a quite a sight for the locals .
