I tackled the remaining combat modules of the fundamentals program, mastered advanced melee combinations with blocking, cargo strikes, and firearm mechanics. After testing these skills against moving targets and active bandits, I finished my training in a free practice arena.
The Porter fundamentals program had one more test for me, which was about melee combat, where I had to eliminate the enemies using the specified actions and reach the objective area.
I started attacking the bandit using the specific actions where I had to try combination attacks at first, and then blocking, timing my defensive stance perfectly to deflect incoming blunt strikes from the training frame.
Then I was taught how to jump attack with knee strike, and how to attack with cargo next, swinging a discarded container box like a makeshift heavy weapon to break the opponent's guard.
After learning all those moves, I had to knock that bandit down using the actions I just learned. And then I made my way to the goal to finish it up.
Then I understood the fundamentals program was not done yet, as I was yet to learn firearms action, where I had to destroy all targets with firearms, defeat all the bandits, and reach the objective area.
After destroying all the moving targets with firearms, I reached another stage where some bandits were waiting for me, taking cover to scan the shooting range layout.
I knocked down the bandits as well using some firearms, and then I reached the objective area to finish the job.
Now that I was done with the fundamentals program, I found another program which was like a free roam practice, where I could try everything I just learned, on bandits or on moving targets.
It seemed fun, as the bandit was not striking back, so I was just attacking him nonstop, using all the actions I learned in the sessions back, till I was satisfied. And it looked like the training sessions really came handy for me, and will be helpful in the real world.
