First a vew from above in the Fortress in Salzburg. Hohensalzburg Fortress is one of the largest preserved medieval castle complexes in Europe, and the Fortress Museum offers a magnificent view over the city of Salzburg and river Salzach.
Since 1924, Hohensalzburg Fortress has been home to the Rainer Regiment Museum, which houses many artefacts relating the former Salzburg House Regiment, whose history dates back to 1682 and reopened about 2000 Here a few exhibition pieces from the museum inside.
