The history of Grimbergen can be traced back to the Middle Ages, the abbey in which the beer was originally brewed, burned down three times and was always rebuilt. Like a phoenix from the flames, the golden Grimbergen Blonde rises in his glass for me one of the finest beers especially since I do not like beer in generel. A noble, fruity abbey beer with a touch of spicy. Sweetish and slightly accented with malt.
Grimbergen is a Belgian beer brewed since 1958 by the Belgian brewery group Alken-Maes.
