Okay, so you made a clear decision to invest in yourself every day -now what?
Personal development is one of those areas where how you do things can make a big difference; how do you invest your time so you get the most benefits?
Let's think about it; what's better -reading a book or having a real-life experience? Does it matter in which order you do things? If you decide to read, which book should you read first?
To get you started, we need to take a top-down approach; from general to specific, from broad to specific, from categories to items.
The where, what, and how method.
"The where" points to general areas like health, education, fitness, financials, relationships, skills, and so on.
"The what" refers to different projects you might set in any one or more specific areas of your life; for example "finish my book this year" is what you want to do in the area of "creative contribution, mastering skills, financial independence"
"The how" is the process by which you're going to complete your project. E.g."Write for 1 hour every day, the material has to be good for publishing so we cannot be just a random text and many other conditions you might set."
And although it might take some serious time, you will have to sit down and think seriously about the following questions:
- where do I need to improve? List the areas of your life that need your attention and be specific about what it is that you want in those areas.
- what projects do I need to start? List project ideas that if completed would deliver exactly the results you want in those areas.
- how will I complete them? Plan and strategize about each project to maximize completion.
To be continued...
