When you have three consecutive Magic attackers in a battle your team becomes very aggressive. The enemy monsters keep taking continuous damage making it difficult for them to fully benefit from their powers and abilities.
Because of this any team can quickly find itself in trouble. That is why an aggressive lineup can be very effective. When special rulesets appear and you understand how they work using an aggressive strategy can create excellent teamwork.
After understanding today's rulesets I decided to play aggressively and it turned out to be a great battle. I secured an impressive victory. Only one of my monsters was eliminated while all the others survived until the end.
In today's 48 mana battle I selected a summoner that reduces all enemy monsters' Health by 1. After choosing this summoner every enemy monster started the battle with one less Health. This reduced their durability and made them easier to eliminate.
After that I selected two strong tank monsters for the first and second positions. Both of them had 3 Armor. Then I placed a Double Strike monster along with Magic and Melee attackers in the middle positions. From the middle to the last position I selected Magic attackers which created a very aggressive lineup.
Before explaining my team selection let me first talk about the two rulesets that influenced my strategy.
BROKEN ARROWS
The first ruleset was Broken Arrows. In this ruleset you cannot summon any Ranged attackers. All Ranged monsters in your deck become unavailable for the battle. If your deck depends heavily on Ranged attackers and you do not have enough Melee or Magic monsters then your team will struggle in such ruleset.
That is why it is important to build a balanced deck with different types of attackers. Fortunately I had strong Magic and Melee monsters so I was able to create a powerful lineup even with this restriction.
SUPER SNEAK
The second ruleset was Super Sneak. In this ruleset every Melee attacker gains the Sneak ability. Sneak allows Melee monsters to target the enemy monster in the last position.
Normally Melee attackers hit the monster in the first position which is usually the enemy tank. However after gaining the Sneak ability they completely ignore the front tank and secondary tank and attack the last position monster instead.
Since I wanted to eliminate the enemy tank as quickly as possible I built an aggressive lineup with more Magic attackers. This allowed them to keep attacking the enemy tank every round.
In a normal battle frontline monsters attack the frontline while backline monsters usually focus on their normal targets.
However in this ruleset the Melee attackers kept attacking the last position monster while my Magic attackers continued hitting the enemy tank in the front. This strategy worked perfectly.
Based on these two rulesets I selected my monsters and built my lineup. It proved to be a very successful strategy.
At the beginning of the battle the match was very exciting because my opponent had selected a Healer monster. A Healer can be very dangerous in rulesets like this because if the tank is not eliminated quickly it continues recovering Health every round and becomes even harder to defeat.
The early rounds were very balanced. However because my team kept dealing continuous damage the enemy monsters in the last position were eliminated one by one. After that only the enemy's first three tank monsters remained. A few rounds later they were eliminated as well.
In the end I secured a comfortable and impressive victory.
What would your monster selection be in a ruleset like this? Which strategy would you use? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
