A battle where tank monsters play a very important role and you have to select those monsters that can give a better performance for your defense and they can become the reason for your victory in the battle.
Todays 89 mana battle was very interesting especially with two special rule sets. Often I get a higher win rate in high mana battles because in high mana battles you get more chances for monster selection. You can comfortably select your best monsters according to the rule sets and with the best positioning you can become the battle manager.
But remember that in a high mana battle only one team is not strong. Your opponent also gets the best opportunities to select their strong monsters. Especially if you get easy rule sets the battle can continue for a long time just like what happened in todays 89 mana battle.
In this battle I saw two rule sets which were Heavy Metal and Ferocity. These two are considered rule sets that make all units heavily strong in armor and also strengthen their powers. Let’s learn about these two rule sets.
First rule set number one is Heavy Metal. This is a very easy and simple rule set where you are only allowed to summon armored units.
If you have good types of armored units in your deck you will survive well in this battle. But if you do not have armored units in your deck you will face a huge struggle.
So according to this rule set what should the strategy be? We should select our strong armored monsters and give them the best positioning.
According to this rule set all the units will be heavily armored. This means choosing a strong tank monster which will bring a good twist to the battle.
The second rule set is Ferocity. This means that all units whether they are from the allied team or the enemy team get the Fury ability. The job of Fury is that it deals double damage if the target has the Taunt ability.
So from this rule set it becomes clear that you should not select monsters with the Taunt ability according to this rule set because if you do you will keep receiving double damage.
Keeping both of these rule sets in mind what strategy did I adopt and what planning did I make?
The good thing was that from the Dragon element I had an armored ability Archon which was a very good option. From the same element I also had many good monsters which gave me the opportunity to make a very good selection.
What strategy did I plan?
I selected my Archon monster with the Plus One Armor ability. What will happen because of this? All of my armored monsters will have their armor increased by plus one.
This means they will become even stronger in armor and I will get the opportunity to adopt a good tank monster strategy.
Because only armored monsters were allowed to be selected I had no option for magic attackers. I only got the chance to select melee and ranged attackers.
I selected a strong melee attacker for my frontline monster which would continue attacking every round with plus two power.
After that in the second lineup I selected a monster with the Sneak ability. A melee attacker with the Sneak ability.
In the middle position I again selected a strong melee tank monster. But unfortunately it had the Taunt ability which I should not have selected. But because I did not have any better option than this I was forced to select it.
And in the fourth position I selected a strong ranged attacker. In the backline position I selected monsters with melee and Taunt abilities.
This was my strategy in this battle and I thought that with my strong armored and heavy melee combination I would show a good performance in this battle.
When I saw the enemy units and monsters on the battlefield they were also quite similar to my monsters. It was a confusing battle because both sides showed good selections.
The start of Round One was very strong. We saw heavy strikes from both sides and one monster from each side was eliminated.
In Round Three we saw that the battle became four versus two. Because I also had a good combination of ranged attackers my four monsters survived until the end.
All the enemy units’ monsters were eliminated and in this way I got an excellent victory.
In today’s battle I would call my favorite monster my ranged attacker Hungry Yulund. Because of its strong hit the defensive system of the enemy units was destroyed and in this way I got an excellent victory.
What would your strategy be in a ruleset like this? Which monsters would you give preference to? will be great to see your answers in the comment section.
