There are very few sunny days in the city where my family and I live. Most of the time in the year, the sky is covered with clouds in our region. However, like all of you, we need sunlight, too. After all, we are not vampires. That's why we always try to go somewhere far away at least once a year. Somewhere where the sun shines every day.
When I first visited Crete in 2010, I stayed in a hotel where the windows of my room faced the east. Every morning I woke up very early and met the dawn. This has always been such an extraordinary and fascinating moment for me that even now, when I look at my photos, I experience almost the same feeling.
One of these days, I woke up too early, about an hour before dawn. I spent that hour on the balcony waiting for the sun to rise. The best time for loneliness, peace and quiet.
A couple of years ago, I already published the first photo here but then there were no such cool curatorial photo projects as @photofeed and
@photocircle. So, this post is a repost.
