Drawing inspired by a Catrina

Hace algunos días fue el día de los muertos, quería hacer algo que fuese inspirado en ese día, pero tuve muy poco tiempo libre, hoy por suerte he podido culminar mi idea y es un dibujo inspirado en una catrina, las catrinas me encantan porque son coloridas y llenas de mucha decoración, definitivamente es arte, pero también representan la muerte de una manera bastante peculiar. Para este dibujo use tonos azules y rojos, el rojo fue un color que surgió en el proceso y que me termino gustando muchísimo mezclado con la paleta de colores que elegí para mi retrato.

A few days ago it was the day of the dead, I wanted to do something that was inspired by that day, but I had very little free time, luckily today I was able to finish my idea and it is a drawing inspired by a catrina, I love catrinas because they are colorful and full of a lot of decoration, it is definitely art, but they also represent death in a rather peculiar way.
For this drawing I used blue and red tones, red was a color that emerged in the process and that I ended up liking very much mixed with the color palette that I chose for my portrait.

Realice el boceto, esta pose fue un poco complicada para mí, al principio pensé hacerle otra ropa, pero finalmente elegí ponerle un traje oscuro, comencé pintando con tonos azules y grises desaturados, para sus ojos use un azul bastante fuerte y sus labios un rojo vivo. En una nueva capa comencé a pintar mezclando los tonos para crear su rostro, luego pinte de negro su atuendo y para su cabello elegi un marrón claro.

I made the sketch, this pose was a bit complicated for me, at first I thought to make him other clothes, but finally I chose to put a dark suit on him, I started painting with desaturated blue and gray tones, for his eyes I used a fairly strong blue and his lips a red live.
In a new layer I began to paint mixing the tones to create her face, then I painted her outfit black and for her hair I chose a light brown.

Comencé a darle vida al cabello aplicando sombras y luces, pinte algunas decoraciones de catrina en su rostro, para el fondo use ayuda de la IA y cree un fondo lleno de flores, en su cabeza coloque unas rosas negras, agregue unas mariposas alrededor de ella y su cabello, luego aplique un poco de luz en algunas partes del dibujo usando rojo claro y blanco, haciendo resaltar las cosas mas importantes.

I started to give life to the hair applying shadows and lights, paint some catrina decorations on her face, for the background use the help of the AI and create a background full of flowers, put some black roses on her head, add some butterflies around her and her hair, then apply a bit of light to some parts of the drawing using light red and white, making the most important things stand out.

Aunque fue un dibujo que hice rápido sin muchos detalles me gusto mucho, algo tarde para la celebración pero las catrinas jamás pasan de moda

Although it was a drawing that I did quickly without many details, I liked it a lot, a little late for the celebration but the catrinas never go out of style.
