@meritocracy Malicious Downvoting

First, I may continue to use my account just as a way to store things i want to come back to. Hell, maybe i will choose to deal with it and keep going, but thats not how i feel right now.

I have videos scheduled all the way through January 2024 as well, so those will still be going through, but I don’t know if I want to continue creating content. Maybe I’m just hurting because the callous bullying of heavy hitting downvoters (hats off to @meritocracy at the top of the list, as well as @spaminator; i hate to be coarse, [REDACTED]). Maybe I’ll get over it and push through, but right now it doesnt seem worth it.

Before you show uo in the comments to tell me its not my reward until the 7 days is up, spare your thumbs the effort, i don’t care to hear it. This is mot a question of whether or not the rewards were earned. It’s a question of whether or not this consistent downvoting harassment was earned. What did I do? @meritocracy, huh? What did I do except try to join an online community and share my thoughts, ideas and art?

• I’m not posting single image ultra low effort crap
• Ocassionally I do copy a d repost content from elsewhere, but its done in the name of preservation and always properly credited.

Some of my posts are lower effort, it’s by nature. Some things are detracted from when we try to stretch them out further than they were meant to go. But my Fred post was liked by @ecency well enough to get a decent upvote, and it was liked and commented on by my legitimate friends here on Hive, so who are you to decide to devalue my efforts, counter the votes of people eho actually know me, and in general try to break my spirits?

I never sold Fred as being high end literary work. It was a fun and light post, expressing my story of changing perspectives to see things from a different angle. It was light and silly with an underlying moral. I didnt post it to get rewards, i posted it to share. The upvotes it received were appreciated, but to be singled out and smashed to zero…again its not about the rewards, it’s about the fact that some asshole wants to smash my work and override the votes of the people who actually enjoyed my content. If you don’t like what i do, why not just follow the people you DO like, and leave me the fuck alone?

Ive seen others complain about this in the past. Im not 100% against guys like @acidyo and others, who really are trying to keep up the quality of the neighborhood so-to-speak - but this is just concentrated bullying, and you have no power over me. I will not be embittered by this, i will not suffer for it. If I continue to post, it will most likely just be from a mindset of storing articles, memories and information so I can come back to them later.

When you blasted my criticism of NASA down to zero, i accepted that you probably felt a strong sense of disagreement and used your clout to express it…that or you’re a government asset. Either way, i thought, post something controversial and this could happen, so whatever. But why you gotta fuck with Fred?

So there you have it, i think I’m done with Hive as a social platform, these downvoting assholes got what they must have wanted in the first place, which is me losing faith in Hive as the real future of social media. If they were trying to clean up the environment, they failed, because i will most likely be putting in far less effort to make my posts “readable,” as i will now just use this account as my personal (public) storege device.

To my friends on Hive, i wish you all the best of luck and hope that you enjoy an experience far better than what I’ve seen here of late. I’m not sure right now if ill continue to monitor messages and comments. Im not even sure if ill continue checking the Name That Tune posts for winners. Someone clearly wants me gone, and i dont plan on staying where im not wanted.
