Located less than one hour from Osaka and Kyoto, Nara is such an interesting place to visit in Japan, as one of its main attractions is that the city is full of deers wandering around.
The funnies part is that they live there for a reason. There are many street vendors that will sell you cookies to give to the deers, so they will come to you asking for cookies. They will even nod at you as Japanese people do, just to get what they crave, cookies!
It's amazing to see how a wild animal has adapted to live with humans as long as they feed them. For us humans, it's stunning to see these animals gathering at the streets, parks and even temples.
Really recommend this place not only for the deers but also for its incredible temples and atmosphere.
