With a new chair for Christmas I am finding that my lower back is screaming for some reason. Ergonomic chairs only are useful if you know how to set them up correctly. It takes time for me and so far I have tweaked it more than once in a day since getting it. There has been no new activity started by me since the beginning of this year, other than doing ab crunches on my chin up bar every day.
Does that affect your lower back? I am not so sure but all I think about is the chair since it is the biggest change to my overall structure.
Sometimes I think that based on when I have acquired through my life are all not that great especially when I find out they are just doing me damage as opposed to doing me good. My back is screaming right now but then again its also probably because I had two class sessions last night. It's always great to go into the fundamental classes and just take it easy on the new guys. Plus I think it helps them get another perspective when they are rolling with someone who has more skill than them.
It's a grind that they must embrace in order to move forward in journey.
Embrace the grind. I hear that a lot. Not sure though if sitting on a chair that is meant to alleviate back pains be a grind for my lower back. A good massage is in order me thinks. When I look at my bank balance though I am always having to think, will I have enough for beer.
A balancing act of health and enjoyment. Being healthy does lead to overall life enjoyment but that instant gratification you get from opening a can of cold beer also has that effect. Then the onset of a hangover. If I don't control my consumption.
Life is a fine line of balancing what you want with what you need.
I laugh at myself, not out loud because everyone in my house are sleeping and the women always insist on their beauty sleep. A house hold of women is only good if they are happy with what ever they think they want. LOL
I can sound sexist sometimes, but that is what I want to say so shrugs
@galenkp had a great post yesterday with being careful with what you say. That really got me thinking because I like to be able to say what I feel and see based on what I observe. That fine line again comes into mind. Juggling acts are a norm with everything that you say and do. I am in control of my voice and actions, that is true since no one is holding a gun to my head. Then I remember the whole Jordan B Peterson speech to the Canadian senate on forcing people to use forced on pronouns and how this would effect how people will say things and act.
Can't think of the term, it's just at the edge of my head.
Is it right then to say that while we have the power to do and say as we please, we are also being forced to do them in a way where society demands them of us. Even if it is counter to what we observe as 'truth'? or what we think we know as being truth.
There are only two genders.
Two words that are loaded. Science now is deemed as bigoted because scientifically there are only two genders. Right? Wrong? That's what I think based on what I have read, learned and also observed. Now what happens inside ones head is another thing.
Once quick thought always gets me. If one feels so strongly about what they think is their right. Should we all then allow it? If so what about psychopaths? They have this feeling and truth that they keep inside them.
I think its right to cut up kittens to see how they suffer. I have had these thoughts since I was a wee kid. So now I have this feeling that it is right to do it to humans since I have the power to do as I think is right. It just feels so right. Like the very fiber of me demands that I take these feelings inside of me and make them a reality. Every waking second I have this feeling that if I do not do them I am not who I am meant to be.
Not my thoughts. An example of what happens inside a serial killers mind, a psychopath. Comparisons would probably get you labelled as bigoted. Really? Its just thinking about whether they are one and the same. In the mind of someone, does it make it real if they think hard enough about it? If so does that mean that serial killers are therefore right with what they are doing? Bar of course breaking the laws of man. Thou shall not commit murder.
Well that went dark real quick there. Does this apply to you having the power to say and do? Or in the end is it society that really controls you. The same society that compels you to use speech. It's not forcing you, even if its the law. That is what Jordan B Peterson was talking about.
