I finished the shrug I started in Linz. The artful city made me add an artistic twist to it; half of a sleeve is red 😁
As a shrug is basically a knitted tube with a flat surface, I can use it as a scarf too. It's so warm, fluffy and comfortable!
I really like my new shrug 😊 When I wear it, I feel as if I'm a real artist ... actually I'm an artist now. Yes I am an artist!
The two color sleeve is not my original idea. It's from a Japanese artist Kyohei Sakaguchi. Last year 
Coming back to my new shrug, it's ultra warm. The yarn is a mixture of Alpaca (55%) and Merino (45%). It's quite chunky. The recommended needle is 8mm.

Even knitting has been my hobby for more than 15 years, I've never used this type of yarn. One reason is that I was afraid of piling and it may catch dust. But I saw one of my favorite YouTubers wearing a pullover made of this kind of fluffy yarn. It looked so comfortable that I could overcome my worries.
I'm glad I tried it. I wish I could have 8 yarn balls to knit a pullover. But maybe it means I shall see if it makes pilling or catches dust first. If it works fine, I will make a full size pullover 😊

リンツで編み始めたシュラッグが出来上がりました。最初は毛糸が足りなかったら、袖を赤くしようと考えていたのですが、毛糸屋さんがショーウィンドウから出してくれて、毛糸はあったんです。でもアートがそこここにある街で、脳みそがアート祭りになっているからか、こうなりました 😁
シュラッグは平らな面の横に筒がついている構造なのでマフラーとしても使えます。ふわふわであたたかくて気持ちいい。。
私はこの新しいシュラッグをとても気に入っています 😊 羽織って赤い袖に目をやるとまるで自分が本物のアーティストになったかのような気分になります...いや、実は今私はリンツではアーティストなんです。そうです、私はアーティストなのです！ちょっとこそばゆいけど楽しいな。
袖の色を変えるのは、私のオリジナルのアイデアではありません。昨年、
逸れてしまった。。私のシュラッグに話を戻すと、これ、もこもこしてものすごくあたたかいのです。毛糸はアルパカ（55％）とメリノ（45％）のミックスです。編み針の推奨号数は8mmです。編むとかなりもっこもこで、想像を絶するあたたかさです。画面であたたかさを伝えられないのが残念・・・

15年以上編み物をしていますが、このタイプの糸は使ったことがありませんでした。毛玉ができたり、ほこりがついたりするのが心配だったからです。大好きなYouTuberの方がモヘアのふわふわのセーターを着ていて、とても着心地が良さそうで、とりあえず編んでみようと。
試してよかったです。十分毛糸がなくてセーターを編めなかったのが心残りですがこれもご縁でしょう。まずは毛玉やホコリについて観察して、いい感じだったらフルサイズのセーターを編もうと思います。針の号数が大きいのですぐ編めそうなのもよいです。
