This long weekend, taking advantage of the holiday on Monday, I decided to set aside some time for those little projects I’d been putting off—the ones I kept putting off one thing or another.
Today, I decided to knit this beautiful coaster using a lovely stitch known as the interlocking block stitch. I love discovering stitches that give pieces a special texture and that, with a pretty color combination, turn into projects full of charm.

Este fin de semana largo, aprovechando el lunes festivo, decidí dedicar un tiempo a esas cositas que tenía pendientes y que, entre una cosa y otra, iba dejando para después.
Hoy, me animé a tejer este hermoso posatazas con una trama preciosa conocida como punto bloque entrelazado. Me encanta descubrir puntos que le dan una textura especial a las piezas y que, con una bonita combinación de colores, se convierten en proyectos llenos de encanto.
For this coaster, I chose four eye-catching, vibrant colors: yellow, pastel green, emerald green, and ecru. It’s a combination that, ever since I started working on it, has made me fall in love with it more and more with each round. I find that often, simply choosing the right colors is enough to transform a simple piece into something truly beautiful.
Amid the threads, stitches, and weaves, it gradually took shape until it became this coaster that has me enchanted with its cheerful colors and interwoven pattern—one that invites me to start each morning with a smile and a good cup of coffee.
Para este posatazas escogí cuatro colores llamativos y vibrantes: amarillo, verde pastel, verde esmeralda y crudo. Una combinación que, desde que comencé a trabajarla, me fue enamorando vuelta tras vuelta. Me parece que muchas veces basta con elegir los colores adecuados para que una pieza sencilla se transforme en algo realmente bonito.
Entre hilos, puntos y tramas, poco a poco fue tomando forma hasta convertirse en este posatazas que me tiene encantada con sus colores alegres y su trama entrelazada y que me invita a comenzar cada mañana con una sonrisa y una buena taza de café.
