Almost three years ago, I started repairing our dining chairs.
They are set of four chairs. My partner bought them second hand as he liked its classic design. He has broken all of them in a same way. It is broken as if someone sat on that chair and blew out the seat with a huge fart 💨💨💨
I repaired two of them but as it's hard for my fingers to finish four at a time, I took a break. And it turned to be three years ...
I found two broken chairs and parts to repair them when we move out/in apartments. Now it's time to repair the two remaining chairs 💪
I cut wooden plates and sponges.
I wrap them with fabric. I tightly pinned the fabric and sewed it together with the curved upholster needle. The needle is really helpful to sew fabric on a flat surface. If you have a similar project, I highly recommend you to invest 3-5 Euro in it.
I replaced the seating part and voilà!
I'm happy to see all four chairs are finally finally finally repaired after three years. Good things take time. That's needle work or projects in general 😁

3年近く前に、我が家のダイニングチェアの修理を始めました。相方は元プロの陸上選手で今も細いのですが座面の中央に大きな穴をあけていくのです 😱 大きなおならで座面を吹き飛ばしたかのような壊れ方 💨 😂
3年前に2脚修理したものの一度に4台仕上げるのは指に負担がかかるので一旦お休み・・・と思ったら3年経ってしまいました。。
引越しのときに壊れた椅子2脚と修理用に買っていた部品が見つかって、重い腰を上げて修理し始めました。
座面の板とスポンジを布で包んで、布をピンと張って画鋲でとめて、特別な曲がった針で縫い合わせていきます。この針は平らな面で布を縫うのに本当に便利で、もし同じような修理をする人があれば500円程度の投資なのでおすすめです。
座面部分を交換してできあがり！LunaとUSTの騒動を見ながら一気に2脚直してしまいました。
3年経ってやっとやっと修理が完了してうれしいです。針仕事やプロジェクト全般、よいものには時間がかかるものですよね 😉
